Like the head sculpt, but out of Sonja, the Lady Spartan this is the weaker offering of the three, will probably look for the headsculpt and the Sword loose. but if finance is okay when she comes out I just might grab her.

Ah, gads, Phicen, yer killin me here. Red Sonja, this figure, and now the new female "Spartan" all at the same time? PLUS the Princess Knight figure that's coming from POP Toys?

It's a good time if you like female fantasy figures. It's a bad time for your wallet if you like female fantasy figures.

Anyway, I'll probably pick this one up, too, since it looked great at NYCC.

That is all that needs to be said. I fully agree.

Not seeing any value here at all. This really is something you could kitbash with parts all ready on the market. In fact I believe these shorts have already been used on another earlier figure.

Doing Armour like this really takes no time at all, I hope (and I hate myself for saying this) the price is reflective of what little is here...

I agree. I kind of like the head, though the white doll dots are off putting. I'll pass.

Yeah it's starting look like its going to be an expensive year with Red Sonja, Sparta Warrior and now Valkyrie, I can only hope that Phicen will wait until 4th qtr 2016 to announce Arhian but still Valkyrie will be a must buy for me too.

Shi, Lady Death and Red Sonja are kind of a big deal. Even Zenescope Van Helsing and Robyn Hood are kind of recognizable. But Power of the Valkyrie? We're paying an added Licensing Cost for a character from a virtually unknown publisher who lasted just 5 issues ten years ago that even the artist's mother didn't buy?

I don't think it is a bad figure not all. but with Red Sonja, and the Lady Sparta coming out and I plan on buying two of each, it's easy to pass on this. all three figures are using the muscle body that the Van Helsing used from what I see. after my order that I placed last friday arrive I will have five of the muscular bodies, six if you include the loose head, body, and bathing suit of Lady Death I bought. and Seven if you include the pre-ordered box set that I was informed should be here in two weeks. If I had not bought all those I am sure I would get this, but as I have done all that. it's the head and sword loose for me. but again I don't think it is a bad figure. not a great one , but then again not bad.

... and here we have the other end of the Phicen spectrum. Cheap and poorly thought out.
I'll wait for the HT version of Valkries thatre rumored to be in Thor3.
The concept art alone makes this look like Hasbro quality.
Really shockingly lazy and bad, looks like Triad pooped this out.

The breast plate is kind of stupid. If this were real, and she bent over at the waist, she'd stab herself to death. And the hot pants... Otherwise, the rest of it I like, and the HS is nice. But, as mentioned, it does remind me of every Triad HS, though more feminine, and less tranny.

I don't think I've laughed so hard at comments here in a while. The Triad comments are sad, but true. I think the white hood reminds me of Triad's Ghost figure. While I would like to use this valkyrie body and HS for an Emma Frost custom, I can't justify the price. The accessories look like an afterthought, and incomplete at that.

yeah...the more I look at the pictures , the more I am also talking myself out of getting this figure. probably will end up with just the head sculpt and the sword. Out of all of Phicen announcement the one I have not lost any excitement over is the Lady Spartan and Mercy.

I don't know who designed this but it's got sod all to do with Norse mythology! But there are some really nice LOTR Dwarve like weapons there!

--

I saw an in hand picture of the figure online from a buyer who ordered the figure from OneSixthKit. The buyer ordered it on a Sunday evening and received it by Friday.

The in hand picture is not too shabby.

Maybe, some of us gotten spoiled with the visual appeal and design of the other PHICEN offerings with the exception to this one?

We can only wait and see until she arrives stateside supposedly in late May or sometime in June.
