That is a very top notch figure. The SS as a whole looked down on these guys though for the most part. Even Himmler & especially Hitler didn't like the Baltic countries serving in the SS, but they were always short of manpower! Only real exception were the Croatians that were excepted, the Muslims were practically hated!
This looks to be a fantastic figures and very unexpected. He looks to come with a ton of gear and the HS look really good as well. I may very well have to pick this one up. I think the C96 is a very cool addition.
Thats who i was thinking of as well. Definnetly a Berkel likeness there. Get the nude, white PJs and youhave him as the Luftwaffe Major from The Experiment
Another headsculpt with STUBBLE!!!!!....FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:brickwall
The sculpt looks amazing, but it CAN'T be used for any dress uniforms,...and whilst i know nothing (or very little) about German uniforms, he most likey wouldn't have a day's growth whilst wearing this service dress uniform either,...unless in the field.
I'm sorry, but i don't like sculpts with stubble,...but i do love the sculpt, it LOOKS REAL!!:wideyes
If it's anything like the real hair sculpts they made a while back they were using a water soluble glue - you can probably just wash the "stubble" off.
Oh come on they can't possibly expect me to keep up with this stuff! The HS is great and I'm getting enough stuff for 2 figures again... how can I resist?
Wow, what the heck...I dunno if DiD can keep it together for the final release, but dang that HS on the prototype is photo-real! It's too good to be true....
Yes, those were all good too, a little less so with the final mass market product.
I have to say that this proto HS is pretty crazy with the realism, though. If the finished product is really that good, I'm going to break my protocol and buy it (I don't normally collect WWI/II stuff for financial reasons--it'd just be too much).
