Well, as stated, I had the honour to visit Calgary's OSW contingent this past weekend. These very kind fellows took me and my family about and showed us the sights and shops that they get to visit whenever they want. They offered up their valuable time and homes to us. It was a greatly appreciated effort from all involved. The Alderman even took time out of his very, very busy schedule to spend some quality time with us.

And I unfortunetly missed my chance to get a pic of Pivot. Sorry about that Pivot. Must have been that MSG headache I got.

Here is a pic of Hardcase01 and Cdn_Rhino. I wanted the pic of the case behind them. They thought I was taking a pic of them. Actually, I just missed where the camera was focused. It focused on Yoda instead of the guys.

The staff at Chinook were very helpful. They had a real passion for their store, as you can see. Thanks to everyone that helped make this weekend a success!

So what do they sell at that shop anyway?
It's a hobby shop that sells everything from slot cars, train sets, model kits, toys and they're a Sideshow distributor, so if it's licensed SST or HT that you're after it will pass through these doors (sadly, they don't bother carrying any of the military HT stuff, but there's an impressive amount of Medicom as well).

It's been refreshing seeing a visitor's POV. I've been so jaded by this little treasure trove that I really have taken it for granted.

heyyyy, you finally got the pics up. Where's the group shot? And I know you weren't trying for Hardcase and myself. You were trying to shoot the handsome green dude just behind us. You forgot about Comic-Kazi and Phoenix. I haven't been to the former in a long time, and it was good to go in and look around.

Yes, it's a nice little shop. When you have access to a place like this, you forget that some people don't have that access. And we some times complain. I gues I'll just stop that silliness now.

Pivot, you forgot about all the Huge amounts of Star Wars stuff in all its glory. This is also the place where I get the styrene and other suplies for my bashes and models. They also carry great ref books, latest hobby magazines, die cast, lots of other cool sci-fi and horror stuff, G.I. Joes, old toys and rare HTF stuff.

Irish 70 - yes the engines light up. They have moved its position a few times, so I think the electrical is the issue right now. The engines are lamps.

Jester - you should have come down.

PrivateNoClass - you can't see it from the pics but the ewoks eyes are popped out from the one angle. Nasty, but funny little detail.

I didn't bother to take pics of all the stock thay had. I was more interested in the dio's. That is why you don't see too much CorranJ. But as Cdn_Rhino stated, They had DML stuff, SST and HT stuff. They had every Pred fig and Alien ans USCM. Plus all the modelling supplies. And I did forget Kamikaze and Pheonix. Kamikaze had some sweet vintage GI Joe stuff and all the same stuff was at Phoenix. But those places didn't have dios set up so I didn't pull out my camera there.

Then there was the viewing of Clays amazing collection and his OCD organization of every loose item he had.

Then 38 Oliver's stunning MIB collection of EVERY bbi modern figure, his vintage Joe stuff and his perfectly organized Joe/ACE kitbashed stuff.

I just didn't take pics of that stuff. I thought it best to leave that honour to the owners of said collections.
