Do Headsculpts on Ebay Actually Fit Phicen SS Bodies?

Hi there! I normally see a lot of celebrity headsculpts on Ebay like Chloe Moretz, Scarlett Johannson and others that I don't recognize, but do those fit on Phicen Stainless Steel bodies? Most of the time they'll say they're for "Phicen/Kumik/Cy/Hot Toys" altogether in the description, but is it really true that one headsculpt would fit all of those body types from different companies? Wouldn't the way of connecting them to the neck of those bodies be different?

I only have one Phicen doll and I'm not sure how those headsculpts on Ebay could just fit all of those bodies from different makers.

I'm thinking about buying one of those headless Phicen stainless steel bodies (the Jiaou doll seems a bit cheaper but the reviews don't seem too positive on them yikes!) and then buying a separate headsculpt, I want to make a ghost lady lol :)

Thanks in advance for any info!

You may need to modify it, a few years ago I bought a few of the 'no name' headsculpts and discovered they were designed for the old school Triad Toys type neck connector. Ask the seller for a picture of the neck connector if there isn't one included in the auction, which there always should be IMO, but I think the type of neck post that Phicen/Hot Toys uses has become the standard.

Just as an aside, I haven't had much luck putting a Kumik head, with it's oddball connector, on a Phicen body without a little of the bobblehead effect...it's definitely not just a 'pop on' deal, so it's a little misleading to include Kumik with Phicen if you ask me.

Peg length is fixed on the Phicens, so not only peg style is an issue, but also peg length as some heads will end up with the giraffe look. I'm sure some of our female collectors will chime in on the best fits. There really should be a dedicated thread for Phicen fitment/skin tone matching/etc.

There is a head/body skin tone thread over in the Mature Section. In general, the name brand heads (other than Kumik) will fit on a Phicen body pretty well -- there might be a small gap between the head and the neck, but it's easily hidden and even affects some older Phicen heads. But this means heads from Play Toy, Flirty Girl, Verycool, or Kimi Toys should all be fine.

The no-name heads are a bit less predictable for obvious reasons. I've tried a few and haven't had any major problems with them (one being a Kumik from their "Orange"/budget line, and then a few total no-name heads). Honestly, I have more problems with male heads on bodies than female ones these days.

Thanks for pointing the poster in the right direction. You are so right about the male heads, I spend far more time answering questions for customers on male head fitment as it is real quagmire these days between proprietary neck pegs and multiple lengths of pegs.
