CorePlay gives the ultimate 1/6 treatment to the winning design of the 2011 Dominance War V 3D world competition, created by YANBO.

Details of YANBO's original design can be found here:

I don't know what the pricing information on it is yet, but I suspect based on the design and pictures it'll be at $199.99 USD or up.

COREPLAY is not a 1:6 brand that has won me over due to what I heard, read, and seen. The design looks impressive to the eye, but their final in hand design and quality on released offerings thus far leaves much to be desired.

As mentioned in the beginning post, it is based on the winning design of the 2011 Dominance War V 3D designing competition. Dominance War is a worldwide CG (both 2D and 3D) competition that pits forum against forum for designs with an Olympics mythology setting. Seems like DW V was the last successful event. Maybe folks familiar with the CG community can provide more info.

An anatomy of the title:

Coreplay - brand name
Wings Of The Trial - name of the figure
By Yanbo - the concept artist
2011 Dominance War V 3D Winner - achievement of Yanbo
1/6 figure - sorry, ran out of space

It's a figure based on a designing competition, so really not much information to give other than that. I did try to provide some background by posting Yanbo's link, seems like no one noticed that?

Wow. This is absolutely stunning. I can't remember the last time I saw a figure design, especially a mass market release, that just left me this gobsmacked. Thanks Hobby-Galaxy for all the detail on it. It's nice to see them crediting the original artist, which hopefully means he's seeing some money out of it. We've definitely seen companies over the years lift ideas from artists so it's nice seeing Coreplay going about this the right way.

DFC, I'll definitely let your comments temper my enthusiasm a bit. But really hoping they come through on this one, or at least do a decent job. One of the most exciting releases for me I've seen in ages.

You don't have too.

I find letting those learn the hard way yields a better effect in terms of experience and tempering of enthusiasm regardless of what veteran 1:6 hobbyists caution.

I really want this figure.... I don't usually go for scantily clad female fantasy figures but the detailing etc make this unmissable. If I can afford it I will get one, then I will prob add some armour parts or some fabric over the unnecessarily exposed skin and switch the head out for a less anime one. It will be perfect then.
