like fine I get it these figures are mostly for males, but you'd think maybe after a long day of being a fashion model in a bikini you'd think they have a selection of pjs, or shorts and a shirt.

This. There are hundreds of outfits available, of varying degrees (some “sexy”, some more practical). The biggest trick is finding the right body to fit some of the clothes.
yeah I am just getting tired of dressing my figures like sluts, my doll wardrobe is mostly vintage, with a huge emphasis on barbie clothes from the 50s to 80s. only a small fraction of mod clothes fit my current phicen set up, and the worst part is I have a head that I ooaked to match the mod theme.
while the head wasn't expensive it was only 15.00 on ebay and all I did was restyle the hair and redon her eye and lip make up. my wardobe is to probably the most expensive in my collection, and I was trying style my figure as sort of a realistic version of mod barbie.

I model WW2 era so finding clothes for my girls is almost impossible, once in a while I'll find something, but I find the smaller figure Phicens are much easier to find clothes for, almost all of mine are the smaller busted girls.

I like phicen/tbleague because the smaller body types remind me of the jakks paciific girl force line of dolls, specifically the body proportions (the bonus is they tbleague/phicen doesn't have white undies painted on the krotch of the doll so I doon't have to worry about when I put em in a swim suit) while still some what unrealistic it was still closer than barbie. I do love a nice military theme for my dolls too (when I feel like pitting them against tar man)
Barbie is a lot easier to find military clothes for though as barbie does everything I have a super bust body for 80s to 90s barbie clothes, and I switch out out fits between barbie and tb league all the time. I wish tbleague do historical clothes more, it's be so cool to have a Marie Antoinette doll with a detachable head XD jk I am not that pyscho.
Lots of variations of ...
20 bucks for an office suit set? for that money I'd just skip and splurge on an interigity line brand of clothes.

Oh I forgot one more thing, I used to have a **** ton of time to sew, what you should do is look up some vintage clothes patterns, then scale it down to your doll size. the female 1940s military uniform is typical to your average suit that a woman would wear during the 1940s. personally when I try and recreate costumes I try to research the silhouette that would be typical for that time period, then for example if its military research things like dress code for female officers. depends on how detailed you want to get.
I might get into crafting again I want more 1920s beaded dresses and the ones I already crocheted are kind of getting worn. esty is a good place if you want more tailored to to doll patterns, although be aware these doll patterns are designed for a specific doll in mind so be prepared to make adjustments when necessary. personally crocheting historical patterns are easier then sewing but time consuming and its a lot easier to get a thing of yarn and hooks and start crocheting.

Everything in this hobby is expensive unless you don’t want things to look all that great. Just try searching for “shoes” or “boots” — half this crap is more than I’m usually willing to spend (or have spent) on the real thing.
like even the knock offs are pricey you buy a blouse and skirt for barbie its maybe max 10 depending on whether you buty barbie brand or off brand, and dealer.
