I am tempted to say, somewhat unkindly, that once again this Lammily Kickstarter guy reinvents the wheel (this time literally) by claiming this is "The only fashion doll sized wheelchair on the market." I suppose technically he is right in the immediate Winter 2018 market but there was the Barbie wheelchair Pontiacivan mentioned, quite nice, that was available at various times (google "Becky the School Photographer" or "Becky Share a Smile") and on our side of the hobby there were Professor X chairs, and an excellent retro wheelchair that I got loose and <probably> belonged to Roosevelt.
Actually if you look at their initial pitch for this wheelchair they acknowledge that it is the only one CURRENTLY on the market, and refer back to the Barbie one of the past. 1/6 scale ones don't count in this instance as they aren't marketed as toys, which this is. Personally I think the design of the Mattel one is superior as it's more realistic but I love the fact that they're branching out a bit in response to what some of their customers were asking for.

Wheelchair users are part of society, why not reflect it?
Exactly! Other than being good representation, a wheelchair is a fun accessory to have!

I'm totally with you all on the pink front though. I remember even as a child in the 90s being really put off by Barbie as just about everything was pink or frilly or overtly 'girly' and in fact the only doll I actually kept from my childhood was a gymnast one and that was purely because she was poseable enough to ride her horse!
I'd have absolutely adored the current Barbie range had they been around at that time as there's been a definite shift away from all things pink and sparkly in recent years. Pink is still the Barbie colour of course, but accessories and outfits seem to be far more realistic these days which is a welcome change.
