Just out of curiosity.... you guys generally derive inspiration from movies for your kitbashes.

Wat I am curious to know is what movie provides the biggest inspiration???

The Winter War, a Finnish film (titled 'Talvisota') - A grim look at Finnish reservists called up and thrown into battle when the Russians invaded in 1939. Excellent representation of close combat, and they used functional aircraft and AFVs from the period, taken from museums. Subtitled, but the kind of story you can understand without the spoken dialogue.

Hmmm... I'm salivating just thinking about it. Here goes (in no particular order)-

The Boys In Company "C"
A Bridge Too Far
The Frogmen
The Odd Angry Shot
The Virgin Soldiers
The Last Grenade
Night Of The Generals
The Lost Command

and... one with Nat King Cole, where he plays a Foreign Legionere in Indochina. Unfortunately, the titleescapes me at this time.

My list is as follows (order doesnt matter much, they are all great)

1 Kellys heros
2 Band of Brothers (ill say it counts)
2 Black Hawk Down
4 We Were Soldiers
5 Tears of the Sun
6 Memphis Bell
7 Behind Enemy lines (Owen wilson has a serious acting side?)
8 Three Kings
9 A Bridge Too far
10 Apocolypse Now
11 Sgt. Bilko
12 Stripes

Scary part is i own everything but Sgt Bilko and Apocolypse now

and i dont think Private Benjamin counts.
