Very Hot?? Hot Toys Subsidary or Chinese copycat..?

Always amused by the never ending BBI/Dragon/DID competition to see who can release the best version of the exact same figure at the exact same time, I ask the question:

Is Very Hot basically a copycat company of Hot Toys.....or is it the uniform-only, less-advertised part of Hot Toys themselves??

Who cares? is what I say....we all win in the 1:6 th world. :)

Dragon? Dragon in Dreams? Hot Toys or Very Hot Toys....I say get it while it lasts.
Knock offs are ALWAYS going to be around...lets just be there too snatch it up.
Dude the reason I'm asking was just one of quality control.....is the VH stuff the same items/plastic/whatever as the Hot Toys or not, was all.

I agree..if its there...buy it :)
VH is not the same as HT. But some of the things theyve produced have been very good. What set are you looking at?
Very Hot is a different company then Hot Toys. As of this point Very Hot has not yet released any box set figure and all of their previous products are just gear sets which includes uniforms, weapons, and accessories etc but no body at all.
They have release 4 or 5 different sets already and their price is very reasonable as well :) for the quality of their products.
Very Hot makes copies of other company's products - mostly Hot Toys, but also ACE and I won't be surprised if someone else too... Quality wise I would say Very Hot is not as good as either ACE or Hot Toys, hopefully they will improve in future and release some original stuff.

P.S. To be completely fair, Very Hot released tan and black Oakley boots. These are very good and is their original products, as far as I know. They also have two Willis heads which are also original, but I haven't seen those in person yet...

Sorry if you got all upset at my comments, I really was not trying to say anything bad other than "Who cares?"....SOTW copied bbi, DML and of course 21C....we all won! (for a brief period that is). whether VHT is the same as HT was not what I was refering to. I was just saying I personally could care less how similar they were...I was just responding that I was happy ALL TYPES of stuff were currently being made by ANY 1:6 th company.

Bottom line is that it is a good time to be in this hobby. Lots and lots of various items (knock offs and all) are being produced for all of us fans to purchase. Choice is always good.

so when i say "Who cares?"...I don't mean it in any bad way other than who cares, there is plenty for us to choose from. And that's a good thing. Friends again? ;)

Correction.

They did duplicated a series of SDU box set with figures. :)
well, at least for a while, they're were the only ones churning out products, so i'm all for it.
Its always good to have more choices. We are starting to see more manufacturers in the 1/6 market and i think its good cos more variety :)
They look pretty darn good to me, do they have a website? I couldn't find one when I Googled them, be careful what you ask for when you do Google too! Put Very Hot Ltd in and you should be fine!

I just did a search with my Copernic program and found this:

It's a German OSW!!

Hope you can translate it!

As the rest had mentioned, Very Hot Toys (or VHT) are a totally different company as Hot Toys. VHT originates from Shanghai, China while Hot Toys originate from Hong Kong.
And the 1st release from VHT - SDU Assaulter actually came as a full kit with a Muscular rubber body and headsculpt exactly the same as its HT counterpart. Its second release which was the SDU Breacher also came with a muscular rubber body of the same design as the 1st but with a different headsculpt. After that, all further releases were just full gear set a'la earlier Toysoldier's releases.

Rogerbee - this Online Store is where you could purchase stuffs from them. And this Home Site is their announcement window for any new products.

Hope these info helps :)
I like VHT. I'm one who prefers the BASH fig to the Boxed.. Co. Like VHT and TS. give you a chance to buy quality sets[gear] mix and match and come up with something unique. Granted in some cases the gear is an obvious replica of some of HotToys stuff. But ya know what they say..Imitation is the purest form of flatery..Besides, They're are several amoungst our bretheren who with these sets and others like them have produced everything from PMC's,Delta Force, CQB's, to Movie/Si-fi bashes that would nock most Boxed figures right off the shelf...
Agreed with you totally...blackops4free..:) Even thogh some of the items may be a replica but at least VH try to cater for those who may have missed HT earlier releases or for those who came into the hobby late. :) Good job VH!
Thanks for that!

Those Bruce heads looked pretty cool.
