Thats really awesome. I´ve seen pictures of them wearing this suit and would love to bash one myself, but I never understood why they wore this suit with all the fiiiine looking marpat they have access to. Can someone out there please explain? Thanks in advance.

I've been told it's because the flightsuits are fire-resistant Nomex, and give a guy a better chance after an IED attack or RPG/AT missile attack.

Another nice one, Aaron! Looks like you have the beginnings of a nice fire team with these two guys.

As for the flightsuits, yeah, it's at least partly because they are flame resistant. It looks like the Army is doing the same thing on a somewhat more limited basis. There was also a photo posted here a week or so back showing a soldier in a Woodland cammo BDU-style fightsuit but with ACU gear.
