Yep that's right,I did a Nam figure. After I received a DVD with a bunch of ref material.I am basing this bash off of a Osprey plate from the USMC Rifleman in Vietnam.I thught about going with a standard USMC type, but who does Corpsman?I DO!!!I still have to do the webbelt loadout and a bit of weathering. But I am almost hesitant after seeing how good this looks to me as it is.And I'm not sure if I should give him a M16A1 or just leave it for a future bash.
New pics. Not complete yet.I want to add a bandolier as well for additional supplies

And yes that is a TS M1 helmet, the first version!!!!!!!HAHAHAHAHAHA.

It sure was difficult fitting on the head too(insert sarcastic voice here)

And if anyone wants to give any advice on Nam loadout for a Corpsman's rear side, let me know please.

Mebbe give him a .45 and holster
Add a Butt Pack a pair of canteens and a K-Bar as well as the .45 pistol and I'd say it'd be top shelf!

Im not really a Nam Corpsman expert, but I'd say that Mark hit it on the spot. Maybe a rucksack to add along as well as an FIRST AID KIT. All in all, great work on your figure!!!

sweet bash dude, nice use of the ERDLs as a late war marine, welcome to nam bashing corran, hope to see more of your work in this era.
With all the Nam TS releases coming out,how can I resist.
He looks awesome!!
From the help I received on a medic/corpsman load out they did carried M16's but they were really dirty possibly even rusted. A .45 would bee good though (I have a DVD with a medic who said thats all he carried) a .45 ammo pouch, maybe 2-4 of the M1956 pouches, a DML nam med-kit and 2-3 canteens. I personally gave mine an M16 a KA-Bar and a buttpack
That's a great idea. So far, so good!
"GOOOOOOD MORNING VIETNAAAAM!"

He's looking good, I can't wait to see him when he's done. I too have some Nam stuff in the works.

CHEERS!
Great Corpsman, Aaron, even in WIP stage he looks pretty squared away for his grunts. :thumb
regarding the 56 pouches, would there be an H-harness as well under the flak vest?
You're off to a great start Aaron. For sure an H harness to support his belt and pouches.
Does look really good Aaron, looking forward to the completion.

I put my figures H-Harnesses over the flak vests for the most part, but depending on the ammount of gear he has it can be done (Ive seen pictures with guys wearing there stuff like that)
Looks great! Personally, I would just attach the .45 holster to the flak vest, as I really like the look without a betl...However the belt would probably be needed for the canteens and other assorted things.
Made some belt kit.He seems a bit loaded down though.I may reduce the beltkit a bit and add a amo bandolier for added supplies.
Some great Vietnam bashes on the board of late. I really am amazed at the quality look of that gear. Great figure Aaron:thumb
He is a beauty(Aussie Slang for real good) I have to agree with other crit's you need to give him some more canteens, from my research Medics/Corp men always carried more canteens than the average grunt.
