I've been searching for quite a while for the right tank top for one of my earlier customs, although the MC toys top she has on was very good, I wasn't 100% happy. So I decided to make my own.

I just wanted to share these templates in case anyone is interested. I'll start off with a few sample pictures to give you an idea how they look, then I'll post the links to the template at the end.

Initial prototyping was done on a xing body, using paper templates and scrap cloth for testing:

Went through a few iterations, but this was the design I ended up using (unsewn):

These were made to fit the large bust Phicen bodies, but you still have to trim it off a bit at the back as I made them longer just in case. I used two small hooks to fasten it at the back (as my sewing skills are very poor), the straps were sewn to the back. For those who are better at sewing or knows a seamstress, I'm sure you could do a much better job and probably won't have to use the hooks as I did, so feel free to alter the design as you like.

Download Links:

Design 1 (Shorter length) - Sits right below the breast (a bit too skimpy)
Dropbox - [Template] Tank Top (Short).pdf

Design 2 (Medium Length) - Sits high on the midriff (This is the one I'm using)
Dropbox - [Template] Tank Top (Mid).pdf

Design 3 (Long Length) - Should sit lower around the midriff (was satisfied with the second design, so never made this one)

Note: The black outlines in the template are to be folded. Select the "Do not scale" option when printing, or print at 100% scale. Print on A4 paper.

This is good, and useful, and thank you. Am I the only one who wasn't sure, when I opened this, whether it would prove to be a template for clothing or for mobile artillery :) ?

What size should they be printed out to? They look rather large
Ah...Forgot to mention this in the notes. Select the "Do not scale" option when printing, or if not available choose 100%. Print on A4 paper. They might look and feel large, but they should fit as intended (after trimming off the back of course)

Great job Fox915! What software did you use to draw the pdf templates? Photoshop? Illustrator?
You could sew on velcro instead which would have been neater at the back!:)
I used Illustrator, the velcro is a neat idea, I'll try that next time, thanks :)

Thanks for the templates! BTW what boots is the figure wearing?
It's a repainted black combat boots
