Toy Soldier scale ?

2738 Views 49 Replies 25 Participants Last post by  makoshark

How accurate are they? Has anyone seen this rifle in person and is it to scale? My fear is another DID super scale rifle like the M14 they released.

Thanks
Clark.

It's not likely that it's over scale but... more likely under scaled.
Toy Solider usually does a good job with the scale of their weapons.
I have always found TS weapons to be very accurate.

Yeah there weapons are very accurate to scale..not like the massive HT Rifles that have grenade mags...
Thankfully Hot Toys is learning to reduce the size of their weapons... And it's about time.
Some of the HT weapons still look larger than normal, side by side, TS is more to scale
There's pictures of the "prototype" I guess, with the PCU set released a while ago: http://www.geocities.jp/lazycat_toysoldier/doll/pcu.htm
Anyone know if the PCU has been released yet? or when it will be released? I think I just found something new to add to my christmas list.

The PCU was released a long time ago it retails for about 15$ a set heres the link::

I think the PCU set was also released by Saturday Toys before. The Saturday Toys set also come with plate carrier too

Anyway, for the TS scout M14, i think it will be better bashed using a TS body ( Which is one of the more smaller scale body in the market ) than using a Hot Toys body ( as HT body are generally more well endowed ), i bought one of the TS M14 and i must say i m glad i bought ONLY one and not all three designs

Why is that? Are they too big?

Are the TS M14 out already? Otherwise, I don't think they made any M14s previously.
Toys Gears is always the first to have any TS stuff and he hasn't gotten them in yet..............................
Managed to get it through a friend in HK :)

I saw this today.. The scale seems to look like its a good size.........

The scale is good if u used it on a medicom, TS, BS and DML bodies ( Which are generally smaller ) but if u used it on a HT or ACE bodies, it will look kinda funny though i can't really say the scale is wrong.

I got mine through a contact in HK and the buzz is there may be other weapons from TS coming out soon...
A lot more is coming from TS... get your wallet ready!

There certainly is!

I'm lucky enough to have visited Alan Hsu's Toy Soldier studio and I can tell you he has a LOT of original 1:1 gear which he uses as reference for all his kit. He even has a rack with a bunch of 1:1 rifles including various M16 variants (although I am assuming there are airsoft/repros because the local cops would not look kindly on someone having the real McCoy!).

I am therefore absolutely confident of the scale of the stuff TS produces.
Same rifle as the new one:

Alan's an airsoft junkie.
