This is one of the figures I'm doing for a survivor series I had an idea for.
In the story the world economy has collapsed due to misuse of the economic system much like in 08 but on a larger scale. Governments still exist but are more interested in retaining power and gaining any advantage than in the people in general. City states are mostly what keep the govt. going and rural areas are left alone unless the military needs more cannon fodder. Bands or groups of people have come together out there to help each otherl. Most bands are anti-govt. and often must hide on the fringes of what is left of society. The people in this series are some of those.
I hope you enjoy !

In the days since the great crash small bands of people were obliged to take care of themselves. War, civil distress and political infighting left Washington occupied, and those guys never really cared about the average person anyway. Mark was raised by his uncle after his parents were killed in a food riot in the early days. Mark and his uncle joined a local band comprised of people from their old home town. His uncle taught him to hunt with a cross bow as ammunition was precious and needed for defense of the group and hand built bolts are easier to make anyway. At 17 he is the best hunter in his group and he always brings in game. His crossbow is an ad-hock rebuild but a good weapon. He often appears unkempt but that is so the smell of the home made soap won't scare off prey. soon he'll go into training as milita for the group and wants to join the scout section. He'll be a natural.

Damn nice work, man.

The crossbow is par excellence as is the sculpt paint...kind of grungy, but not too much so.

Thank you so much ! I was worried I'd gotten a little carried away with the dirt-look. I'm very glad you like it ! Thanks for posting !

Cool character, a fine bash and back story. I consider Pickle Munkey's reference high praise, Stake Land is an under appreciated movie.

That's awesome, really nice work! Reminds me of a character you'd see in Stake Land.
Thank you ! Haven't seen that yet but I'll make it a point to check it out. Thanks for posting !

Thank you very much ! I have several figures close to the point of presentation and hope tp be showing them soon. Thanks for posting !

Fantastic concept man. The crossbow works perfectly with him.

He somewhat reminds me of a mature Ron Weasley at certain angles. Anyway, great stuff brotha. Looking forward to more crew from the series. :D
Thank you man, always good to hear your opinion, the crossbow was one of the 1st compounds I did and never found a good figure for till this series, glad you like it. I hope to get more figs up soon. I appreciate the reply bro, thanks for posting !

Nice job, I see the resemblance to the guy from Harry Potter as well.
Thank you, actually I think that's who it's supposed to be. I saw it and thought it would make a great sculpt for a younger fig. Thanks for posting !
