Bought this used a month ago. The pu leather has started peeling, so washed it over 2 days and after watching too much gunpla and military plastic model tutorials on youtube, i had to try my hand on something i have always wanted to try since 2007.

Armour looks brand spanking new


Dry brushing with silver for that paint chipping effects




I skipped taking pictures of the sand weathering and here's the final product

VERY impressive upgrade! The weathering definitely adds to the figures look... he’s now more an operational street cop versus freshly equiped recruit!

Nice weathering. It's always tempting and easy to go overboard on weathering, but you've nailed it. It looks nice and subtle, like real armour that's taken some knocks doing it's job.

Thanks guys! I bought the first Takara Jin Roh when it was first released but I chickened out about weathering it, ended selling it. 11 years later I got a 2nd chance to own it and felt the time is right to bring the figure to the next stage.
