Sweat stains on fabric, how to?

I tried using a clear acryllic paint to simulate the sweat stains and it sorta worked, but no 100% pleased. Plus it stiffens the shirt. Any suggestions?

Use a darker colour than what the shirt actually is for example Blue you would use a shade of blue upwards to stimulate a wet effect :D
SWAT is right, mix a darker shade with water, and drip on the spots you want with a paintbrush. let dry, reapply till you get the effect you want.

tea stain works well too, for dirt and sweat.
I like diluted India ink, this works really good but should be used sparingly. Tea also works, yet IMO it gives more of a dried sweat look

Bingo. Perhaps drybrush a little white here and there for an additional "salty" look.
