I was looking for something online and found a link the the sixth army group forum.It looked like a bunch of like minded guys so I thought I would sign up,which I did on Christmas,went through the whole sign up routine followed all the steps but have never been given permission to post,I even contacted the site master and never heard back from anyone. Is there something special that is required of is it no longer in operation?

It’s an old group, never been a member but it was very popular.

Few folks still post on the forum from time to time. I joined SAG many years ago, still enjoy viewing it.

I used to be pretty active, but haven't visited in years...probably went away when interest in WW2 figures began to wane

It's still alive. I'm a member there and have been since the day it opened. WWII is a lot less popular now then it used to be.

If you read my original post and "joe friday"'s post both of us tried to get on but neither of us have ever heard back from a moderator so we could post,if both of us had this problem I can only assume we weren't the only ones,if you really want to keep a forum going you have to allow new members.

It's definitely not dormant and is probably at least as active as this forum. I'm a member there but I rarely post anything because my interests have moved away from WW2. However, I like to help my fellow 1:6 enthusiasts out whenever possible so I've started a thread over there to see if I can get you guys the assistance that you need. I'm not absolutely certain that I've posted my thread to the proper section of the forum so it may get moved but here is the current link: Prospective new members are having a hard time joining. - Sixth Army Group

In the meantime while you fellows wait for permission to come aboard over at the SAG, if you need a 1:6 WW2 fix, you might want to check out this forum if you're not aware of it: THE SIXTH DIVISION - The Sixth Division is a hobby discussion group dedicated to WWII era action figures in 1/6 scale.

There are a bunch of friendly guys over there too.

Yeah, I was a member when the SAG first started but my account disappeared after some system upgrade many years ago. And when I tried to re-sign up immediately after, I never heard back. I was already a member the 6th Division so I didn't really worry about it...

I just recently re-signed up at SAG again with no problems, just a lot of hoops to jump through.

There was a response in the thread that I posted over at SAG. Hopefully this will help you guys out:

"Thanks for the alert... I haven't been to OSW in forever.

I just tried registering and got an immediate email response. We do get new registrations so I am sure it isn't just me who can get it to work.

If I were to guess, those that aren't getting the email either are getting the confirmation email but it is going to a spam folder or filter, or they entered thier email address incorrectly when signing up.

Anyone having trouble can directly email me at [email protected] and I will be glad to help them."

a lot of the SAG guys have moved to facebook , both the board and facebook page are active , choose which works best for you .

Long time SAG and Sixth Division member. It definitely has slowed down over the years. I don't own a Face Book account nor do I plan to, so hopefully there be a resurgent in both Forums. WWII has always been my bread and butter!
