Thanks again for another objective review Michael. I have to pass on these excellent figures as I'm a tad "strapped" right now, but look forward to getting them at some point soon (I hope!). As mentioned in the review, with these two gems and the ANH Obi Wan figure looks like 2008 is shaping up to be a fine year for SST!

Yep, I'm really hopeful considering what we've seen from SS in 2008 so far. These sculpts and paints are really nice...let's hope they stay that way.

While I like these, being reliant on bricks and mortar retailers means that availability is the key issue for me. The main distributor that retailers round my way deal with always want you to buy at least 6 of every figure. Fine if they're a good figure, but, the guys I buy from got stuck with all the crap ones and just couldn't shift them. This means that, no matter how good the figure may be, nobody wants to take that chance. Certainly not at £80 for the Palpatine duo, that times 6 is a big ask for any retailer!
