Every so once in awhile, a figure pops up that illicits extreme reactions. Either people hate it or the love it. Sideshow's release of Padme Amidala in her Clone Wars Ilum 'Snow bunny' costume is just such a figure. And as is more often than not the case, I think the real truth lies somewhere in between.

She does have issues - three big ones for me. But she also has some very positive points that shouldn't be overlooked. You can find all the reviews at the usual:

Yea, they might not be sixth scale, but they're sweet. McToys is supposed to release a 12" version later this year, and if they give it the same articulation as the little guys, it'll kick butt.

I am loving the Halo figures! Your review was spot-on. I don't know what the freezer method is, but I know that if you put the figures into hot water, you can move the joints to break the paint wash.

Great reviews Michael. Ya, those Halo figs are great...hoping that the 12" version is pulled off as well as the little guys. My God, that Padme figure is absolutely horrible. I actually laughed out loud when I first saw that wide-eyed HS staring back at me. Terrible figure, but great review Michael.

The freezer method is handy for paint issues with joints. You pop the figure in the freezer for 20 - 30 minutes. This contracts the plastic of course, and when you take it out the joints will be easier to move, breaking the paint free.

As always, if you turn your figure into a popsicle and it shatters like glass, I didn't tell you to do this.

Another great review, thanks. Ah, finally a Star Wars figure I can pass on. I Just can't see how this one got picked over some of the others on that list. It's not bad, but even for Star Wars, it's not my cup-o-tea.
