Hello All,

Here is my first attempt to build Star Wars: The Old Republic trooper, with reference taken from the trailer.

For me, the design is bad ... and more menacing than the clones.

But realizing the helmet is harder than i thought.

I took this from the trailers as reference.

I would be much obliged if any one has any info, diagrams, detailed pic or measurement for the troopers.

That looks remarkably impressive
Have you tried Wookieepedia? They might have something.
The only advice I can offer is smoothing it out with sculpy when you're done making the base, that way they are no gaps and it looks even. Still, awesome work

Here is the progress for the week end, i got more time to concentrate on this build, this time.

Different story coming Monday, work work work, you guys know how it is .

Looking at the helmet, i realize something, the proportion is off. OHH MAN.:doh.

Looks Like i have to rectify by cutting, to make it close.

That for the side. Cut it along that line to bring the visor down.

Gouging the visor and whatchamacallit.

I've seen people use "pepakura" (Japanese paper mold making software) for 1:1 Star Wars and Halo armor projects. Never seen it used for 1:6 scale. Neat idea.

I luvv seeing 1/6th scratchbuilt stuff. I don't have the skills so I am always amazed by the talent exhibited. Cheers on your work so far, the originality of the method, and I can't wait to see how it progresses and final result.

it has been a while since i update my progress,

Well as per the pics, the helmet is not that good enough, as the size is to big and also the the orientation and dimensioning is not accurate, at least i got the hang of fabricating the helmet.

Ill have to redo again the helmet, this time with proper measurements.

Hey Guys

please find below my latest update for the Old Republic trooper scratch build and judge dredd,

Some minor defect needs to rectify.

For now i am using 1mm thick cardboard for this built, which i plan to switch to polystyrene board, which type of glue is the best bonding agent. Any advice is much appreciated.

I use Bison Kit Universal. When you have finished the trooper helmet why don't you make casts of it?
