Hey all,

I have done up a new SOG team, based on more research, inspiration, resources and more money. Hope you like them.

They took quite awhile to put together, and since I'm more into making teams than individual units, my figures are not the best detailed and everything. So I hope you guys don't fault me so much on that. I do hope for positive feedback, though.

These figures are dedicated to the brave men of SOG, who did some serious stuff for their fellow men.

These figures also would not have been possible if not for the local 1/6 shop I go to, YellowBox, for their shop basically, along with their support, jokes and well, for just being there.

Hope you guys enjoy the figures. I will be posting them over a few posts as well, there are six men. I hope the mutliple posting does not anger anyone here.

Anyway, this is my first figure. He is Lt. Daniel J Thompson, One-Zero of RT Wyoming.

Nice shadow warriors! Great job picking unis and load-outs. Very nice.
I likey!

Just one question, the all-black fatigues....wasn't there only 1 group that wore the custom black BDU's....I can't remember if thats true or not. Either way, those are great bashes, I look at them and immediately think "Thats a SOG team in-country".

Hey guys,

thanks for the comments.

@e5sargemac: Some of my figs are based on your SOG troops. They were great reference points! Thanks.

@HeadRusch1: I'm not entirely sure of that. I'm quite sure a few teams dressed in all black BDU's. Maybe not every single member. My team wasn't meant to depict a full team actually. It's part realistic, part fantasy. But imagine a whole team in Black going in for a snatch and grab. That would be cool, don't you think?
damien, give me a few days to digest all these awesome figures. holy crap!!!! blows my LRRP Team thats in the works out of the water!!!!!!! awesome job man, il comment more later as i get a closer look at every one. oh, that reminds me, i gotta PM you, i found this link to like some of the best nam SF reference pics i've ever seen.
also, whats the silver cylander on top of your tail end charlies pack? i jsut bought the HT Nam Stoner gunner, and i don't know what it is.
That's a parachute illum flare.
Very good show. Most folks will not notice the six pocket 40 mm bandolier that one of your figures is wearing. I was wondering, it that item from SOTW?
Hey guys,

@irishjoe: Haha,no way man. Your LRRP's are kick-a$$ cool. Especially with weathering and all. I think I need to work on that. And yes it is a parachute illumination flare. If I'm not wrong, LRRP's attached it to their claymores at their NDP's so as to prevent sappers from fiddling with their mines and turning it in the team's directions. Also, thanks for the PM.

@STALL STUFF:Yup, it is from SOTW. The one with the space in the middle to allow the fitting of M-16 mag pouches.

Thanks again for commenting guys.
e5sargemac & damien-thanks for the info on the flare....the tube attached to your one/one's knife is a flare too right?

also damien-if youre like me, you might have a plethora (spelling?) of DML m79s laying around. its really easy to make an awesome looking cut off 'nade launcher, a little sawing/sanding and you got one that looks awesome, might want to give that try to replace your 21c one. then again, 21c stuff seems to be having a renaissance lately.
All of them are awesome, Great work!
Hey guys,

@ Arashikage Assasin: Thanks for the comments!

@Joe: Haha,I wish I was like you bro! I would love to have a huge number of DML M79's, CAR-15's, M-16's and M-60's lying around. No such luck here, though haha. But I make do with the stuff I got. In any case, 21st C has some pretty good stuff. So does SOTW, actually. The M79 on my One-One is a SOTW one, and it rocks. Too bad the company exists no more. They had good 'Nam kit. Basically, a 'Nam kitbashers heaven. Oh, and yes that tube on my One-One's knife is also a flare, just not a parachute one.
good to know on the flares....also a big toy distrubtor in the states has apparently been heavily laden with old SOTW stuff recently (kay bee), ive been meaning to get out and see their stuff, as i got this awesome Remington 700 from one of their sets.
Haha how I wish I was at Kay Bee now, but sadly, I'm in Singapore haha. Oh well, think positive. I can make more figures yet with what I got haha.

Nice recon teamers ..

Nick pick: the proper nomenclature would be Tropical Combat Uniform (TCU) for VN era slant pockets. BDU's of course was the good old Woodland uniforms. ACU the current Universal (so-called) camo. issues. So, in terms of time period .. OG107's, TCU, Transitional ERDL, BDU, ACU, and probably a MC (Multicam-ish) replacement for the Universal camo.
