Hi, everyone. I'm planning on trying to use Fimo to give a Rosanna Jones National Guard figure a more helmet-friendly hairstyle, and I'm wondering if anyone here has ever done anything similar, and what advice you could give me if you have.

Essentially, I'd like to try and turn this:

...into something resembling this:

I would recommend removing the hair completely, unless you want stray hairs in your work. To do that, follow the first part of this tutorial. It's tedious, but you won't have to deal with hairs getting stuck in your clay.

Jester, can Fimo air dry or you have to bake it, if so wouldnt that damage the plastic head sculpt? or do you have somehitng else planed?

awesome link thx! And I think I found a faster short cut using that method by putting the Knot outside the head through the small holes, instead inside which would be a pain. Iim gonna try this out.
