Did a search and came up bupkis. I posted in weapons area but there hasn't been any activity there for over a year. I noticed people are posting about weapons here as well. Has Any forum member made one of these or adapted another shotgun to match? There is at least one recent? model out there that is supposed to be a Model 10 (not a trench ) but it has no butt stock (pistol grip only) and also looks very much like an Ithaca 37. These were rare compared to the Winny 1897 with only 3500 produced.
Thank you for your time.
John

If one was made at all I would suspect it was made by Sideshow Collectibles for one of the Bayonets and Barbed Wire WW1 figures. I don't recall any of the DiD WW1 figures having one.

There may have been a few customs made as well. There have been one or two posted here if memory is serving me.

Thanks longhorn 92 and cdn_rhino! Gives me some avenues to research. In the second post with the Marine, the shotgun looks like a Winchester Model 12. It isn't clear whether this model was used much in WWI - it definitely was in WWII especially in the pacific. The Winchester 1897 was by far the most used in WWI.

There was a Dragon WWII one though I'm pretty sure it remained unchanged between the wars. It came in a Marine blister with a poncho as I recall but may be difficult to find now. There may have been a WWII Dragon Marine that came with one also, but not sure on that one.

I'm pretty sure Battle Gear also made one. I would try there first before trying to find the Dragon one on eBay.

I had one of those Dragon USMC sets long ago. I bought it to use the hat as a Panama hat (after reshaping and repainting) for a Soviet Afghan war figure. I eventually sold off the rest of the parts but I do remember the shotgun being of fairly good quality. I have no idea where that Dragon set can be found now but I figured that a proper item description and images might help the OP find it if it's of use for his project, so here goes:

USMC Infantry Equipment Set 2 #71145

Scimitar,
Thank you, that helped. I was able to buy the WWII shotgun only from the 71145 accessories pack, which I believe is a model 12, as well as an Ithaca model 37 that I think was a Vietnam accessory as it has the "spreader" muzzle break used by the Seals. Michigan Dawg recommended the WWI Buck Jones figure with the 1897 trench but it is a little spendy as is the shotgun by itself. I am going to try to modify one of more of these into a Model 10. The hard part will be to duplicate the wooden trench hand-guard and the bayonet lug that only these shotguns had. Here is a photo of a Remington Model 10 Trench shotgun. It is bottom load and eject just like the Ithaca.

You're welcome. Did you get the Dragon shotgun from the HK eBay seller that was asking about $27 shipped for it? I saw those earlier today and was going to message you about them. I saw the Ithica shotguns as well as those Buck Jones shotguns. At around $65 the DiD ones are spendy indeed!
