Is this the same guy who was selling a left boot for 100.00?
Its because one just sold for like 2,200 USD on eBay. Thats why a lot of people are rushing the market with them. The price people are willing to pay...
What??? $2,200??? Man, people are crazy!!!
yeah - heres that auction i think you were talking about.

people say $100 is a lot for a 1/6 scale figure. well... not anymore.

i bought mine less than a year ago off ebay for $144. $250 seems the most reasonable amount to pay. but, y'know, "the price is what the market bears".

Yep, thats the one. He cashed out nicely.
Look at the category they are listed in- I would say they are "aliens' fans and not 1/6th guys
They are having a laugh, and anyone that buys one at that price is a complete mug! The scariest thing is that someone actually might!

CHEERS!
Ditto Rogerbee's comments. Usmcrtop has a very good point, sometimes it all depends on the category...some of those memorabilia collectors go to far lengths. My God, that's lunacy.
man, that price is crazy I wonder if he actually got paid for it though or if it was just a couple of pranksters running up the price

I'm thinking that too. There is no way that somebody REASONABLE would pay that amount.
Have you looked at the winning bidders bidding history? He's definitely a Marine fan & a Hicks fan (he's won a couple auctions for the small rotocast McFarlane). Could be legit, there's one born every minute. If so, I hope there's a couple more out there 'cause I'm putting my extra HT Hicks on eBay!
Yeah, but you know the market and I'm sure you'd charge the right price. It may be worth putting on your auction that yours is the price people 'should' be paying for an HT Hicks. I could almost understand the high price if say Michael Biehn had signed it, but even then, the price would still be steep.

CHEERS!

PS (Definitely state that yours is MIB, the real deal etc as people might think yours was cheap because there was something missing.)
The bids look fishy. Why do some of the bidders have "**" on their handles? It's not anonymous.
that's bit too much, for me though. The most I paid so far for a figure is about $125 for FJ max, special edition.

This one's also a bit pricey, but its still in olny triple digits, and probably worth it http://cgi.ebay.com/1-6th-CUSTOM-WW...ryZ27294QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I sent an email to the seller asking if it was a joke and he sent me back this link

end price won't matter if they dont pay up. there's gota be something fishy there.
This auction was shelled. Possibly by friends of or the seller himself. Someone competed against the winning bidder all the way through till the end. That competitor looks real fishy and had feedback profile with over 1,000 count. He's an eBay seller of some sort. AND he just had to have this Hicks. AND he used his sellers account to try & get it. Yeah. Right.
I could almost understand the high price if say Michael Biehn had signed it, but even then, the price would still be steep.
I sold my MIB Hicks signed by Biehn for $215 three months ago!
It's too high, for most sane people. I posted the auction one last week, and that one is too high too. I am looking for one too, but I am not crazy like that.
