Looks good to me from the picture, the omega vest may seemed like a good choice for some PMC bashes.

Did anybody know which are the special forces units that is using this vest?

By the way, thanks for sharing the pictures, i think the vest looks better when shown wearing on a figure

The black tactical vest is a match for the Stargate Atlantis vest-at least from 1st season.

The Omega vest is an older system. Not sure who would be using it today.

Hi rapier, i came across this thread in the 1:1 side...Apparently some marines were spotted in this vest..

They appear to fit pretty good even over the body armour - looks like a Hot Toys body they are shown on?

Most likely, any and all US military units that are allowed to use commercial vests could be using these, here are some pictures(I think they are all in Iraq):

US Air Force EOD

US Navy SEALs

US Navy EOD

USMC Force Recon(I think...)

Also, are the pouches removeable? I too would like to make a Stargate bash, and I'm thinking of buying two vests to swap around the pouches...

Apparently this is not true

Just a couple of days ago on militaryphotos there was a picture of a guy who died in Iraq and he was wearing Omega vest in that picture. I agree that it's not as widespread as it used to be, but it is still being used...

It is still an older system. Been around at least 7 years. I used the 40mm grenadier vest when I played airsoft. And that was more than 7 years ago. I just stated that I didn't know who would be using it now. That's all.

These are great actual reference pictures!! Thanks guys for sharing the pics..I guess my next bash would most probably be a PMC or a EOD guy...Thanks once again for the picts..

The black ones are used by the tactical teams on 24.
