I don't know much about French Navy troops, I've only come across a few of them so far in the Air Force. Maybe you're looking for pics of combat swimmers of the Commando Hubert (a spec ops commando of the Navy). They are part of the Navy Commandos (Commandos Marine and Fusilers Marins - but beware Marine is Navy French!). Here's a site showing pics :

http://commandohubert.free.fr/CHcursus.html

Looking at the pics on that site, the uniforms are the old ones. I'll look for other sites. A liitle remark by the way, regarding the beret of the Commandos Marine. This is a green beret, and it is the only beret in the French forces to hold the unit insigna on the left side. As far as I know about that, it would be because this Commando was initially an English unit, which enlisted French soldiers during WW2. So, in memory of this legacy, they kept the insigna on the left and not on the right as it is for other forces wearing berets.

Histoire & Collections
publish good books, and most of them are available in English.

Here are some pics I've found about Commandos Marine troops with cammo outfit :

Hope it'll help you. I'm not surprise not to find recent photos of them or only ones that aren't up-to-date because these commandos are part of the COS (Commandement des Opérations Spéciales, French Spec Ops Command) so they have to remain discreet. However, Histoire & Collections have published books about the COS and onther one about the Combat Swimmers. H&C often publish English version of some of their books, but these ones are anly available in French. Maybe you could find more info in them :

Thanks Superpask for all your help! The images definately help, only one thing I'm still stumped about: Do they use FAMAS' at all?

They use FAMAS as it is the common assault rifle for any servicemen in the French military. But they also use other kind of rifles that are specific to commandos, but there I'm not an expert. I'll look forward to that.

Hi Shaun, Hi SuperPask

I got the book on the COS (Spec Ops Command) most if not all combat Diver Pictures of the commando hubert & other units show them with SIGs 551 w/ full or foldable stocks..Probably chosen for their reliability in water & mud environments.
One thing though this book was edited in 1999 so pictures are from the 90's

Have to grab the combat diver book which is more recent....

Thanks for the info otawerks!

I've had a look again on H&C websites and the book about divers is available in English. Here is the link to it and other books published in English about French Spec OPS where Shaun could find info :

Also, Shaun I forgot to give you this link below in my reply to your PM, regarding FAMAS. This is an English magazine about weapons so I guess it would help you (by the way, the soldier on the cover is an Air Commando (former parade dress, now the shirt for parade is white and no more blue) :
