Oh the books are anything but bodice rippers they are everything rolled into a novel mystery romance, adventure, mystism, what I like about them the most is the history Diana gets it right and what's more she makes me look it up hell I'd never read 'Paul revere's ride ' until one of her books. Or the trail of tears?

I haven't used the male body I have for much yet, but the female body uses the same armature and I think it can take some of the best shooting poses of any figure, jointed or seamless/male or female:

Can't speak for how well clothing fits over them, but I'd expect you'd want stuff that's cut a bit bigger. I'd expect the average DAM Toys set would work OK, but to be honest I've never tried.

I like this new body and may grab one, though I've had a devil of a time finding heads that will fit my M31 body. I have exactly one ACI that fits without a problem -- the rest seem to need a bit of adjustment of the neck peg inside the head.
Thanks for the info :thanks How about the wrist/ancles joints? You have any idea if they are of the HT type or like DAM/SS?

Again thanks for taking the trouble to provide all that info, much appreciated!

No problem. The wrist joints end in a small metal peg and his legs end in a ball joint that fits the feet provided. I suspect you can get loose hands from other companies on the wrist pegs, but TBH I haven't actually tried it with the male body I have. Just haven't had a lot of time to use him very much. I am a lot less optimistic that you can get the ankle pegs into other companies' boots or shoes, though -- they seem bigger than the average 1/6 ankle ball. I'd say most proper male boots or shoes (i.e., not boot feet) will fit the figure, but again this is pure guesswork on my part since I haven't tried on much footwear yet.

Wow. I love that Phicen has really listened and addressed all the feedback that's come their way. And of course there will always be little tweeks, but overall, they've dealt with every issue that has kept me from picking up one of their male seamless bodies. So I definitely plan on using these for some projects in the future.

I still wish they would release the body they are using for the Steve Reeves by itself. I've been dying to do a more comic book inspired Conan to go with my Red Sonja (If you're not reading the Conan stuff Dark Horse has been doing, you're missing out. It's fantastic) and the 1st body Phicen did is just to short for Conan. (the Steve Reeves body IS supposed to be taller, right?)

But between this and their upcoming Bruce Lee style body, I think they've got covered pretty much ANYTHING else I can see working on for the foreseeable future. Very excited.

I tried to find out if it will be bigger but can't find an answer. I've emailed Phicen a couple of times but they haven't responded. Perhaps if more people on the board email them they will reveal the answer.

I pre-ordered the new body when it was announced a couple of months ago and it was scheduled for late August. I think I'll order either a Chris Evans head or maybe Paul Rudd.
I was very impressed by the quality and poseability of both the women's and men's bodies. Also got Sparta Warrior while I was at it. Woow! What an amazing figure too!

I may have to get one...the original is still, by far my favorite. I don't care that he's a little shorter, real people are not all six feet tall...and not every man is hung like a porn star. I would love it if this new figure had a little more muscle in his legs...action figures seem to always have skinny legs. If you look at current Olympians, you see that their lower limbs are just as muscular and beefy as their upper body. And since I use them as models for artistic reference, I'd like the proportions to be evenly distributed. Phicen far exceeds other 1:6 manufacturers in the range of motion realism. Keep 'em coming!

Agreed, the original is still the best (agreeing without having new release in hand). Skin tone match is what I like best about it. But this release raises the question: Why has Phicen done so much to improve the female figure(s) but paid less attention to the males?

They apparently need designers that are as passionate about the male physique as the current designers are about the female form. The first edition was pretty damn good, number two had arms like rubber bands and thin legs, three, the Asian, again had skinny legs...and this fourth is so close...the upper body looks great, just give him some muscle to kick and run with!

Not that I don't agree with you, but my guess is the skinnier legs is due to the majority of clothes for male figures come with full length pants. It would be nice if ALL manufacturers put the same amount of effort (especially in their stand-alone nude bodies) in the legs as they do with the entire upper body. I've been searching forever for a tall body with detailed legs for the last few years, and all that seems to be out there are these bodies with super-detailed torsos and arms, and then just ****ty, shiny plastic legs with nasty looking ankles, as if there are a bunch of kit bashers out there with a slew of topless male figures.

I agree it looks promising, but experience has taught me to wait to see it in hand first; it does seem to have addressed some of the shortcomings of M30 and M31, which were already the best bodies of their kind. The advertising photos can be a little misleading at times (as in the case of M31). As for the questions about the shape of the bent elbow, if M30 and M31 are to be considered as comparisons, the thicker arms should help (M30 looks a lot better then M31 with bent elbows). The compatibility of the metal pegs with other hands and feet is not necessarily assured, but HT and HT-type hands and feet usually work reasonably well. You can see a more detailed discussion in my comparative review of M30 and M31 from a couple months back.
Guest Review and photos of Phicen Sixth Scale M30, M31 seamless action figure bodies

As an update to my previous post, I have just received the new Phicen PL2016-M32 (the "Asian" tightly-muscled body). I had my suspicions after the mildly disappointing M31, but I am relieved and pleasantly surprised by M32, its sculpt, accessories, etc. I plan on writing up a very positive review. Meanwhile, I think it is safe to say that if the next release, M33, includes the same improvements as M32, alongside the promising changes in appearance, it ought to be the best Phicen male seamless body action figure product yet.
