Very sad that it was deleted you have made some great custom work. :bravo:bravo:bravo
Its always a shame when art is getting deleted even worse when there is even an "mature area" were stuff like that can be posted

Do you not notice the rated "R" at the top of the mature section? The last series of pics in that thread were most definitely not R. I'm no prude. I watch pornography like many adults do. But in my opinion pictures like that don't belong on this site. I think it is awesome that we have a mature section. I just hope it doesn't get ruined because of pushing the envelope too much.Very sad that it was deleted you have made some great custom work. :bravo:bravo:bravo

Hey, it's alright; I thought the written definition implied that images of such a graphic nature would be allowable. So, they're not. Fine; it's not my website, and not my rules. That's okay by me. Now I know, but I would've wondered if I hadn't at least tried.

Don't think I'd totally agree with that statement.
The thread that Medea started had been going for 2 or 3 weeks with no issues. Various people had posted links or pictures of examples of what Medea was after. The last post, while illustrating some skillful sculpting and posing, also had a few shots that most would probably consider "graphic".
While anyone that uses the internet will run across "not safe for work" type material fairly often (nudity, softcore), more graphic material (hardcore) usually requires some work on the users part. This one was a little "too" accessable.
Just my 2 cents...

Time for me as a Admin to chime in here on this. Up until recently the thread in question had no problems as Russcal pointed out. However, the last post crossed the line. As stated graphic material up to an 'R' rating is allowed, but that last post was definitely 'X' rated.
We are a family oriented site and although the Mature area is clearly labeled there is no way to prevent someone who is under age from viewing that section. It wouldn't take much to cause a situation where the entire OSW site gets pulled, so the thread was moved. Pending further staff discussion on this, the thread has temporarily been removed.

Perhaps, a man's anatomy is more x-rated than a woman's anatomy? It seems like it in certain countries though.

I don't think that was the issue, as there were shots of the male member in the thread before it was removed. El Paso Trooper summed it up best. I don't have an issue with sex, but before I officially joined this site, and was just searching the internet, and trolling this site, ANYONE can access the Mature Section. I can understand the admins concerns over getting the site shut down, but there are other posts here that I think have/are pushing the envelope in that regard, also.Perhaps, a man's anatomy is more x-rated than a woman's anatomy?
I thought phantom11 did a great job on the sculpt work, and since that was Medea's interest, perhaps if just the male figure had been shown in all his nude glory :wink the original thread would still be up. Just my opinion. I do find it interesting that none of the women, including Medea herself, have chimed in on this (it had even been awhile in the original thread), as I would be interested in hearing what they have to say on the subject.

The core issue is that, as said, anyone can access this area. OSW could get it's permit pulled for complaints registered over such material's accessibility. The same with OPSEC and member behavior issues.
If a reference for sourcing the parts is needed, then that could be done with a simple list of contacts, which could be followed up via PMs and emails.
This area depends on self-control on the posters' part. Our limited staff resources cannot be used to constantly police it.

seriously though, I hadn't been following Medea's thread after the first few posts so I don't know what transpired, forgive me if I'm jumping in here, but if there's a possibility that OSW could get pulled I'd rather the Admins err on the side of caution

I didn't see the offending images but if it was as obviously 'graphic' as it sounds then I can kinda understand why it was taken down. It still feels a bit unfair though, given how many bondage threads I've seen on here with female figures that can sometimes give off a bit of a rapey vibe that are apparently perfectly ok. I'm not a prude by any stretch of the imagination but the line between acceptable and not so seems to be a little vague!

Those "bondage" "rapey vibe" threads were the ones I was inferring to as well. Aside from a double standard, I think they stay up only because they stop before they get too graphic.
