I have been using Testors model paint for painting and repainting stuff. After finishing painting and letting the stuff dry, it feels sticky to the touch. It doesn't matter how long I let it dry, it always feels that way. Any suggestions about what I'm doing wrong? Am I just not thinning the paint enough? Any tips or suggestions welcome

You may have gotten a bad batch, or sometimes if there's a lot of humidity, or temps outside the recommended, you can have problems. Could also be a bad reaction to the surface, which could happen if it's a type of rubber or something like that.

Testors are enamels, you should really be using acrylics to paint heads. When you do use acrylics it's important to only clean your brushes with water.

if you do not want to repeat your work,
try washing with liquid soap.
usually sticky with uneven paint thinner.

One more point...if it's soft PVC you're painting onto? If it is, you'll wait forever for that to dry. The plasticisers used prevent paint drying.

I painted some thick electrical cable once...still tacky weeks later.
