Now on to the trivia. This military aircraft's demonstrator sounds like it was put together from spare parts like Frankenstein's monster. It had the Northrop T-38A's jet engines, the F-16's fly-by-wire systems, the A-10's landing gear, and the C-130's environmental systems. What aircraft demonstrator am I describing?

I found the exact line you used in your hint, but if you read the linked article, it actually says something different... d’oh!

Here’s a hint I’ll throw out... there were only two of theses built, and they are both buried in Nevada.
