My favourite local retailer has thrown out something interesting for pre-ordering to be "available 2nd Quarter of 2008". Retailing at SGD150 (USD1 = SGD1.43). Thought some of you folks here will be interested in this news.

If you have a Jay Chou headsculpt, and with the armour suit, you can recreate Jay as the prince in the movie 满城接待黄金甲 (Curse of the Golden Flower). Also starring Chow Yun Fatt and Gong Li.

I'm not too sure about that man. But looking at these small cottage production (BTW, I don't even know which company is responsible for this one

), this could be a one-off thing. I know Jason Siu or some 1/6 designer, previously, had came out with a comic ver of Chow in his golden Emperor gown but not the armour.

indeed Porky, it was a "bossomful" movie... the Jay sculpt is pretty dead on except for the lips.. a bit too thick IMHO.

I beg to differ though, the HS seemed off to me, way off... As for the armour, for that price, i will be expecting to be at least 80% similar to what DID has done for their samurai figure, anything less than that, not worth the price.

Kenny, thanks for sharing! That golden armor is beautiful! A top grade figure. This is a lot better than Sea International's Three Kingdom series. Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of Jay. I hope they will make Chow, or even better Gong, LOL!!!

Apparently this item is ready to ship due end feb when the chinese holidays is over.

Depending on the response for this item, word has it that Emperor Chow may be released too :thumb

Wasn't there an exclusive figure of Chow Yun Fat from Curse of the Golden Flower previewed sometime last year with some incredibly detailed costuming? I did a search, but couldn't find anything.
