Hi everyone, (Hope I have the right spot for an introduction)

I just signed up as a new member today and thought I would broaden my scope of 1/6th scale fashion design. I normally sew fashions for the haute couture runway style of dolls i.e. Fashion Royalty by Integrity Toys and Mattel's Barbie but I have done some action figure work over the years. A recent customer said I should post on the action figure sites as some of my designs may fit your action figure needs.

For example I make custom fit bodysuits in knit and lame - lots of sexy cuts and body hugging styles for the female or male action figures. I have also made a variety of trench coats and bomber style jacket that could be customized to the action figure scene. My most recent design for a competition entry is a hooded duster with pockets for weapons which could be scaled or enhanced to fit any size. Here is a link to the design:

MW012.Thor.iconic.fashion

My current action figure models are very limited but I am happy to purchase new models when required. My models are: James Bond Side Show, a variety of Ken dolls, Takara, Volks & Obitsu. I have posted some pictures in the in an album called kolkmankreations but I don't see it.

Feel free to contact me if you have any requests.

Regards,
Karen Kolkman

Nice work and introduction.
If you're keen or serious about moving into more general 1/6 clothing, I'd recommend that you purchase at least one each of the main bodies used by this segment of the hobby.

BBi 3.5 (or clone)
Hot Toys Truetype
Hot Toys Truetype Slim
Soldier Story S2
Soldier Story S2.1 (narrow shoulder)
Dragon/DML Neo body.

There are lots of other body types around, but these seem to be the most common and popular right now in my experience.

Good luck!
