New Dodge CHALLENGER!!!!!!

I'm not sure who's aware of this fantastic release of a retro car, but in May of 2008, the first of the new Dodge Challengers are set to roll out!!! I LOVE mopar!! Okay....sigh..I'm done. The Dodge Challenger SRT8 is a throwback to the 426 HEMI Challengers of the late sixties.

The first one due out is a 6.1 litre HEMI V8 :wideyes It goes from 0 - 60 below five seconds ( 13. 3 quarter mile ) and 0 - 100 in 17 seconds!!
:wideyes 426 HP !!!! This car boasts many features including a 13 speaker sound system, keyless push- button start and 20 inch wheels.

Chrysler wanted to make this car as close to original as possible, but due to safety standards of today, there have been some changes to the original model but she's still sweet!! :devilhnd :devilhnd :devilhnd

Hmmmm I wonder how she handles in the snow.........

Yay finally, they've been teasing it since Ford unveiled their retro Stang. The exterior doesn't look to have changed much since the 06 concept, but thats cool since it looks and now sounds like a real beaut though. I'll be happy to see these things on the highway even if I can't play with them. :/

meh.....

To quote someone earlier in another thread,

A car is a car is a car. Drive to work. Drive to the store. Drive to whatever.

Shouldn't be used as a supplement to, or lack of, a willy.

That sure is purty.
Like LG, I generally think of cars as appliances. But some appliances just happen to look like sculpture. And sculpture that also happens to be something that 'does' than merely being something that just 'is' is an added bonus.

The Hemi has a feature that only uses two cylinders at highway speeds, IIRC.

Its called MDS and it uses half the cylinders.

But I just watched the new Knight Rider movie. I am soooooo going out and getting me a new Mustang GT 500 KR limited Edition!!!!!!!!!!!!! If the wife will let me.

That is sweet. I'll probably have to settle for a die cast or plastic model version, though. My real life cars have always been pretty utilitarian (current one is a bit nicer, though) but my fantasy garage has always had a great collection of pre-war hot rods, lead sleds and muscle cars.
