Looks like a very cool item for the 1/6th armoury.
Is that metal/diecast of plastic?

Looks to me like the cylinder with rounds(drum?) is inserted reversed.
Graham included one in my last order for FREE!! They look great! It's plastic with a movable cylinder. Now, I have to bash a new Western figure.

They also came with an ivory grip...Can't wait to pick up one (Or a couple) of these!

BGT weapons are made of plastic. Personnally, I think plastic weapons have 2 advantages : you can weather them easely and their weight won't disturb the pose of your figure. However, in my opininon - I'm talking about old weapons of 18th century and before here - plastic revolvers look like toys to me. I purchased a BGT Army Colt when I was making my Civil War bash. It looked accurately done, but when I had it for real I found it less effective on the figure. But Maybe with some weathering, the toy look would disappear. But it is just my opininon here, just personnal taste on this detail.

Whenever I have the opportunity, I get metal cast weapons for that era. There may be many other retailers for that kind of items, but the one I purchase mine is Stevos Toys . Stevos has got a large range of choice for Western revolvers, rifles, carbines and also leather rigs and hats. I bought the M1860 Army Colt to him - which has a more realistic effect on the figure than the plastic one - plus other weapons like a Spencer Carbine or a M1851 Navy Colt for example. The Colt Peacemaker has been in his catalog for a long time and it costs the same as the plastic BGT one and is available with many painting options for same price (bright, black or blued barrel and cylinder, and walnut, stag, ivory or pearl handle). Here's a pic of it :

And if you compare with BGT pic, you can see the cylinder may indeed be molded the wrong side on the BGT model.

Except that, BGT make lots of very good items.

I asked Auggie, and he's going to fix those pics. His 1873 Colt has moving parts, including a removeable cylinder pin. The cylinder just needs to be reversed. It looks good, and I'm looking forward to getting my mitts on some.

Removeable parts? That's very good indeed! I should get one to try how it would look in real. Thanks for the info ;)
That looks great!!!

Perfect!! Been needing one of these for a western figure I've been wanting to do.... Thank you BGT!!
A good replacement for the SST ones that I have...I may pick up one or two...
The BGT peacemaker does look great, I have a few of them, they are a perfect replica of the 1873 colt. However, they are very fragile, if you get one, dont try to put it in a figure with stiff hands, I learned that the hard way. I broke 2 of them trying ot outfit one of my guys. BGT makes a lot of great stuff, but the peacemaker is too fragile for me. My peacemaker has been resculpted wita tall front site...also, I have 3 sizes of barrels the 4.5, 6.5 and 7.5, plus a buntline special with a 12 inch (scale) barrel... I think I have about 100 different guns from the late civil war to the golden age of th old west. Thanks!
