Hey there guys, I'm currently looking for an experienced 1/6 scale tailor. I did found several tailors online but I am not sure whether how good they are or how much they might charge me per commission. If you guys have any experience with the tailors, can you guys recommended me who do you think is better?

OH, BOY.

Talk about dropping the soap in a prison shower.

If your total budget is below $50.00 USD, you're in for a very crude, rude, and violated awakening.

Nothing like experiencing and learning the hard way.

Bee whiz makes great stuff, but they charge an arm and a leg for their work (especially if it's a one-off) - be prepared for sticker shock when they tell you it'll be around $400-500+.

Amy does reasonable work (no military or superhero stuff), and her prices are reasonable (but don't expect Yunsil level quality). Her sewing waiting list is full at the moment, however. I've gotten full outfits from her for around $60-100 depending on how involved it is.

Yunsil and Geewhiz... I don't think Yunsil takes one offs for quite some time now. All 10 or more. She is very expensive so is Geewhiz, although not as expensive as her. Then there is Add-Blue, just a host of very talented 1/6 tailoring. Mostly from Korea, exception is Geewhiz who is Filipino and I forgot about a Hong Kong guy...forgot the name he goes by, but very, very expensive. But sadly, their clothes are great, but it will run several hundreds to thousand(s) of dollars depending on the level of detail, but their level of detail is great! More than great. Superb. Their waiting list is a mile long, so don't think you can order something from them and expect it to arrive within a month...6 months to a year. There is the old adage, "You pay for what you get..."

Your best bet is what Stryker said.

Never heard or read anything negative about AJ.

Just be realistic in terms of your budget.

Quite honestly, if you're planning to be a cheap skate about it . . . then don't even bother. I'm being very blunt and truthful. So many cheap skates in the hobby demanding/expecting things that are out of their price range.

aj is good, she made me some nicely detailed pants, and blouses that were actually high quality. she's willing to put in the detail if you ask nicely, though honestly, she deserves more than she gets paid. i still need to go back to her and order some things. namely more socks, and probably another dress. i commissioned with her twice already, and recommend her. beware though, she's a busy gal.

When it comes to GEE WHIZ . . . learn breathing exercises, butt squatting, and find a lubricant you prefer.

Late to the party but I need to say that I had a bad experience with Gee Whiz.

Not only did he charge a (1:1 scale) arm and leg for a WW1 Marine Uniform (and tried to overcharge for sourcing fabric) he did a poor job for it, botching the cuffs despite clear instructions and reference pictures and even failing to make a straight front opening. I only noticed this after he shipped back the item and wanted to charge me again for fixing it, blaming me for his mistakes in the process. To top it off, he kept the fabric I sourced and wanted to charge $50 for sending it back.

In hindsight I was way too kind about his extortionate service. Now I'm stuck with a figure that while overall great looking, I can't show from certain angles due to horrible asymmetric cuffs. I want to look for someone else to remake it but afraid of the cost!
