I wanted to share my first 1:6 purchase. I cant say how pleased I am with the purchase itself, as I did my homework on makes and models. The seller I purchased the Jiaoudoll body from was very helpful. A US based seller, fcc-ant has a 100% feedback and " located " in new jersey. They answered several questions and sent me pictures of all the bodies they had in stock with that particular skintone to make my comparisons. I went with one of the newer models a 15c with the new wheat skin tone. The body moves well, has some weight to it and the detail in the painting is well done. She came with a total of 4 pairs of hands 3 pairs of feet, a heavy flexable metal stand, bikini and owners manual. She was packaged in a sealed box and also a labeled cardboard shipper. That was also wrapped in layers of heavy plastic. I recieved my item in a week by usps.
The head i purchased from a usa seller out of california and i recjeved it in 3 days! It was packaged in a padded envelope (!) It arrived in great condition. The hair is soft and it looks pretty good. It seems to look on the small side when i look at her irl but in pictures it looks fine so maybe im being too critical. The skin tones are a very close match and i had no issue fitting the head onto the body. It takes a smaller pin which the body had several pin sizes included. I think i did ok for my first time. Attached are pix of my project. Ill be making her armor out of fun foam and alluminim tape. Should be interesting. Im thinking of a purple and silver theme. Thanks for reading along

Hi, welcome to the forum and this expensive hobby!
And thanks for this colour matching photo. I have a BS version of the 15C, but not this new Wheat BS01.
Are the joints of your figure very tight? Mine are rather stiff to articulate, especially the neck joint.

Compared to horses ( I have two) and making porcelian dolls, this hobbys pretty affordable.🤣
Body and head combined ran just under $90.
Oh yeah this girl is tight but I wouldnt want it any other way. I have a 1/12 TBL she fits the scale of some of my model horses so Im making her a saddle.

Yes Im not sure if its addiction or disease, maybe both? 😁 I bought this one also and it arrives tomarrow. I hope it matches up as well as I think it will. Jaioudoll 07F-PM ( pink) and a SDH 027 It was killing me to find out!
Im tracing the armor out of silver leather for " Valkyrie" , adding antique silver embellishments ( old jewelry pieces) and cant decide if im going to make a sword or buy one.

I also picked up a kt007, because the pl149 just seemed off in scale and it kept bothering me. So when the cat knocked her off of the shelf and the head popped apart, Just one more reason to try something else. Here is the bs01 with a kimi kt007 that was listed as Suntan. I love the lighter eye color and the match seems perfect! Ill have to look for a petite size body for the pl149. ( i was able to put the head back together)

7The Jiaou doll 07F- PM ( pink ) arrived yesterday and the head I hoped to match, SDH-027a , came earlier this week. Im thrilled to say YUSSS! THEY MATCH! Photo taken in natural sunlight. Not sure what the finshed project will be as im still working on Valkyries armor. I recall seeing a duscussion here with skin tone matching between bodies and heads id like to add these photos there.
