Nice choices Stryker2011...and some of those on your lists I like as well.

However I am a YUGE aviation movie soundtrack fan so I'm more biased when it comes to preferences to aviation movie scores. I
will start of with this one from Jerry Goldsmith.

This music score by John Williams from the movie "1941" is a lot of fun for me to listen to even though
technically is not a "war movie" per se.

Another a great score from John Williams (pre- STAR WARS fame) from a mid-1970s war movie flick is
also one of my favorites.

Main theme from Patton by Goldsmith is as epic as it comes but for the whole soundtrack I'd say:

...also a tip of the hat to Rambo:First Blood by Goldsmith again.
Captured the melancholy of Johns life in his theme. "It's a long road and its hard as hell...."
