This video was made by a young friend, Army Specialst Travis Bateman.
Travis was a member of our Sheriff's Office Explorer post and I'm proud to say my friend and young padawan. He enlisted in the Army immediately after his high school graduation. Upon completion of basic training and MP school he was posted to the 59th MP CO Ft Carson, CO. He did 2 tours in Iraq and 3 weeks ago completed his enlistment.
He immediately re-enlisted in the CO National Guard MP Co at Canon City, CO knowing that he may be called back to service in Iraq once again. He is now employed as a DOD Police Officer at Ft. Carson, CO.
To me Travis is a hero....
