Well I got the gumption to rummage through the garage and pull out some of the better kitbashes of mine.

I really like this one since I'm a fan of OD green. I used the old molded TUS beret and painted it to match up with the new U.S. Ranger beret. Why they wanted to go the SAS look I'll never know. The black beret was where it was at IMHO. And yes, that's the TUS revolver. I thought it would be a nice touch. I call it his lucky .38:p Or small frame .357 for you guys who think the .38spl is too wimpy. LOL!!!

This one you guys might like. He has the TUS Mountain Sniper ruby lensed goggles.

This one is my Ranger Grenadier.

And finally some of my SF/Delta fellows. The first operator has the TUS mini-Galil from the SWAT Door Breacher figure. The only prob with this particular rifle is that the folding stock is about a quarter inch too long. Makes some poses difficult. BTW. His four main pouches are maxed out with 40 round AR mags not cardboard.

Sorry these were taken during the evening.

Those all seriously rock! I can't really pick a favorite, although the Ranger grenadier is awfully nice.

Sadly, the Rangers weren't really given a choice in the matter of changing their beret. I seem to recall that former chief of staff Eric Shinseki ordered the black beret to be made a general issue item. The Rangers had to pick a new color.

That's what I heard. Someone from the top made the change. I got wind that the Rangers didn't take too kindly to it either. Especailly with what they had to do to earn the black beret. Just goes to show, those who are on top don't always make the best decision. They did pick a good color though. It's better than purple or some odd color. Brown wouldn't have been too bad either. OK. I'm ranting now.
