Is Monkey Depot on vacation or just out to lunch? I'm a long time customer and am vexed that I have not received a reply to an email about a Ti-lite Enfield that I'd ordered. Well I received the package today and what to my suprise the British Enfield had morphed into a Russian RPK. I realize that they were undoubtly overun with orders from their free shipping weekend but to not acknowledge an email about a shippimg mistake is a bit much. Perplexed and POed. Small wonder the hobby continues to shrink.

Awhile back I bought 6 bikes from them and two was broken at the wheel. I sent them an email about replacing them but they were out of stock. I ask them if they can give me a discount if I place more orders of other stuff but they never respond. That was the last time I order from them.

I ordered quite a few items from them in the past without issues and use to live right down the street from the shop. I have recently been hearing negative things lately, might think they are kind of losing grip on things or just a busy weekend............hope they respond and make right with what went wrong.
Well, the many times I ordered from them I never encountered an issue. My guess here is that there where slip ups because of the fact that Christmas isnt too far away and they had a free shipping weekend so things got a bit mixed up. I would recommend to keep mailing them every so often or if you are in the US to call them by phone.

The one in the picture doesn't look broken as much as un-glued... I see a pin on top of the wheel fork that should go into a matching hole in the bottom of the upright shaft. If both are like this it should take just a dab o' glue to set things right.

:applause

Still doesn't excuse MD for not replying to an e-mail tho'... definately a ****e way to do business.

yeap that bike doesn't look broken! even if it was it would be an easy fix with some glue as the wheel doesn't even swivel so you can't possibly screw it up!!lol

One of my orders was lost by mail because of MD labeling software issue, but MD issued shop credit for full amount (about $250), so i just reorded many of items lost. I like MD they are great.
I wonder if calling a business by telephone nowadays is a lost form of communication?

MD still have a telephone number where an actual person can be reached at during business hours provided they're available and answer.

I've been fortunate in having all orders filled with no issues recently.

I respectfully & sincerely hope it's not the beginning of a negative trend. Given the occasional mob mentality, I know how some love jump on the pitchfork & torches bandwagon at times.
I have done business with Monkey Depot on numerous occasions, never had a problem.
Same here. Did/done business I think maybe 10 times or more, and I live in Korea! Never had issues with them. One time a piece came broken, they gave me store credit. What I don't understand is that all of my packages come from Sweden recently. LOL!!! They must be using a different courier.
I have bought two AH250's from them at a great price and they under valued the customs declaration saving me the import duties, without me even having to ask them to do so which is technically illegal. All my e-mails and phone calls have all be answered. I will continue dealing with them in the future
Been doing business with MD for over ten years and never had an issue.
Just got a couple of loose items from them this morning.

I hope you guys get your stuff sorted out.
yup, order from the folks at MD regularly and have had no problems at all. Had an item broken in shipping but after a few emails, they sent a replacement :thumb . Sometimes it takes a while for them to reply, so i just spam them until they do... LOL
Used to order from good stuff to go. When they stopped doing business, I switched to MD. No problems with them.
Although I've only been into the hobby for about 6 months they were the first (on-line) 'store' outside of ebay that I tried, of the half dozen orders I've placed its always been the right kit, delivered promptly and well packaged, and the prices are pretty damn good too, I'll certainly be continuing to use them in the future.
MD is my first choice for anything, so far haven't had any problems buying from them for years.
I've done plenty of business with these guys and they're stand-up...never an issue.

I don't know what it is about our society that makes getting on a website and talking ****e easier than picking up a telephone and solving a problem.

Email is a great invention. It makes written communications instant and easy.

It's also the most abused tool I know of. Folks feel like they can sit back and type anything they want, secure in some false sense of anonymity. Recipients sometimes don't see it, thanks to spammers who cram everyone's mailboxes so full of unwanted crap that the necessary messages can be lost in the shuffle.

Quit blasting MD on a public forum and get on the phone for some remedy.

Some folks have a long way to go to get back to where they were...
MD is a great friend to the Hobby--been dealing with them for years--always customer oriented. If you have a prob, they will get back to you. They're one of the good ones..
On the 3-4 occasions I've had an issue, they've taken care of it with great service. It takes a few business days and perhaps a couple of emails to get all the details sorted, but I've always been taken care of regardless of the nature of the problem. Give them a chance to get it sorted out for you, and if they are backlogged on email give them a shout over the phone. :goodluck
