Well, I have hit a milestone here on OSW and it has conveniently landed right on New Years Day. 11111 posts here on OSW racked up in almost 7 years of hanging around here.
I have to say it has been a great trip so far. So many great members, and truly skilled artists and bashers, of all types and calibres.
And the types and quality of new figures being released is just another reason to keep coming back and looking. So much has changed, and the evolution of figures has been an amazing transformation even in the last 15-20 years. Can't wait to see what the future has for us in that respect.
Thanks to all who have made the trip so far so much fun, and here's to all the future times and figures to come. Thanks folks.
So I'll share one of my custom bashes, that has been a slow WIP over many months. I just like to get it right, but time to work on figures is in short supply for me over the last 2 years.
It's mostly complete, but I would still like to add some bits as well, like an appropriate knife. And maybe mod the ankles so I can get some different boots, as they are the HT Noland beets. Those are still some kind of nice combat looking boots, but don't look quite right in my eyes.
I wasn't too happy with the Soldier Story 75th Ranger head sculpt, like quite a few other members. And the first one I got had a wobbly head, which didn't help the matter at all. So, when I saw the HT Predators Noland figure, I figured it was perfect for what I wanted. The only snag was the Noland body is bigger than the SS S2 body, and the uniform was a bit more snug than I liked, so I used the Crazy Dummy Ranger uniform, which has a padded undersuit like a fat body suit. I liked the ripstop MC more as well.
I'll add some more pics when I figure out what file(s) I stored them in :knock
I also have another Ranger WIP that will follow closely behind, and maybe I'll get some time to work on that this week. I'll just add it here as well, to keep the posts where I can find them. Stay tuned for updates.
[UPDATE] Found a few more pics x3. Not the ones I thought I had. Maybe I never took them.... :think
I'll put them in while I try and get more done up as a completed figure.
Look below, There's the start of a new one as well
