Well, I have hit a milestone here on OSW and it has conveniently landed right on New Years Day. 11111 posts here on OSW racked up in almost 7 years of hanging around here.

I have to say it has been a great trip so far. So many great members, and truly skilled artists and bashers, of all types and calibres.

And the types and quality of new figures being released is just another reason to keep coming back and looking. So much has changed, and the evolution of figures has been an amazing transformation even in the last 15-20 years. Can't wait to see what the future has for us in that respect.

Thanks to all who have made the trip so far so much fun, and here's to all the future times and figures to come. Thanks folks.

So I'll share one of my custom bashes, that has been a slow WIP over many months. I just like to get it right, but time to work on figures is in short supply for me over the last 2 years.

It's mostly complete, but I would still like to add some bits as well, like an appropriate knife. And maybe mod the ankles so I can get some different boots, as they are the HT Noland beets. Those are still some kind of nice combat looking boots, but don't look quite right in my eyes.

I wasn't too happy with the Soldier Story 75th Ranger head sculpt, like quite a few other members. And the first one I got had a wobbly head, which didn't help the matter at all. So, when I saw the HT Predators Noland figure, I figured it was perfect for what I wanted. The only snag was the Noland body is bigger than the SS S2 body, and the uniform was a bit more snug than I liked, so I used the Crazy Dummy Ranger uniform, which has a padded undersuit like a fat body suit. I liked the ripstop MC more as well.

I'll add some more pics when I figure out what file(s) I stored them in :knock

I also have another Ranger WIP that will follow closely behind, and maybe I'll get some time to work on that this week. I'll just add it here as well, to keep the posts where I can find them. Stay tuned for updates.

[UPDATE] Found a few more pics x3. Not the ones I thought I had. Maybe I never took them.... :think

I'll put them in while I try and get more done up as a completed figure.

Look below, There's the start of a new one as well

Re: Milestone Post 11111 and 75th Ranger Custom HT and SS bash

Great looking bash. I too like your head sculpt choice. I will someday have milestones to celebrate here myself. Congrats. I love the people here and always strive to live up to the high standards.

It's called "pre-mature celebration"...... :doh
Nope. The count was at 11111 when this was first posted..... I made a few more posts, and now down about 100. How does that happen, if I didn't delete any posts?

On the plus side, I can now hit that mark again.

How does that happen? I'm not much of a believer in gremlins, so there's a bug in the machinery somewhere.

Re: Milestone Post 11111 and 75th Ranger HT+CD+SS bashes; UPDATED 23 Feb 2014

The new guy. I have made it back to 11111. Lets see how long it lasts.....

Peter. I had to have that HT Peter Parker head sculpt when I first saw it. Intense stare, and young, clean shaven face, just screamed modern military to me.

On a Hot Toys TTM-14 Narrow Shoulder body. He needs a bit of a hair cut for the comm headset to fit over top, and get the helmet on. That doo is waaaaay to big.

I am working on a shotgun for some breaching work for him. Modded HRT shotgun.

All Soldier Story kit so far. Except for the Crazy Dummy MARSOC boots.

Did anybody ever question the fact that the SS 75th Ranger never came with a knife? What kind of knife would the figure have if it came with a knife?

Enjoy round one of this one.

Now you've seen 11,111 posts twice. Very few (if any) can say that.

Mighty fine looking figure to accompany it, too.

Thanks guys.

These are 2 of 5 Rangers I have going on at the moment. #3 is pretty much a stock Crazy Dummy SAW/Mk46 gunner. So he'll be going with these guys.

Thinking about a M240 gunner in updated gear, and a DM/Sniper as well, but those are still a bit in the distance as I am trying to wrap these up first. Possibly a grenadier type as well.

Just need a people mover as well..... maybe something like the Scale Store Blackhawk. That way I can use one of the SS 160th SOAR figures as well.

Another nice one would be a modded Landrover WMIK into that Ranger vehicle (can't remember the name/ID on that one), but those are getting real hard to find now. And I have yet to see one used in A'stan yet, so it's a less likely option anyway.

Like most of nature's wonders, this place is not completely stable at all times. Why? I don't even try to figure that out. There's an obscure tale that at post11111,
a member is "transformed", and becomes at one with the forum.

Congrats on the count, the figures, and being a standup guy.
