I've put some of the nicer shots below. As usual, I did some new 3D printing items: some lamps, side tables, and a china cabinet. You know, as I get deeper into this hobby, it's pretty clear I'm really enjoying the aspect of making miniature recreations of mid-century items. The dioramas are turning into a showcase for the miniature recreations.
If you want to read a description of the diorama, please check it out at my blog link above. This photo shoot has 50 photos and I'm posting 9 photos here.
Thanks, All, for taking a look! Let me know what you think!
Thanks so much, Spitfire! That's exactly what I am shooting for it so create the illusion of 1:1. It's so great to hear you say so! The natural light really makes a difference too.
Gorgeous as always. I recently moved to an area where mid-century ramblers are in abundance and your dios evoke that style so well. I would like to see all of your dios together one day.
Thanks for the super nice compliments! Wow! I didn't even notice the uneven fireplace (it's supposed to be a fireplace) until you pointed it out! The cut in the foam board is correct but what happened was the bricks are a printout and I didn't cut it properly with the hole in the foam board. :doh Some times its so easy to overlook something like that when the whole dio is setup! Thanks again for the comments! Best wishes, Don
Holy Moly ! Best modeling possible. Except for Barbie, I can't tell that it isn't a real full sized room.
I would almost find it easier to grasp that you modeled a giant Barbie and photographed her in a real room. Most Excellent ! Thanks for sharing. Terl
LOL! You discovered my secret! These are actually real photos and I have life size dolls just to fool everyone! :loony LOL! What a great comment, thank you doller! Best Don!
Hi Everyone! Thanks for posting such nice compliments! I really appreciate it a lot and it gives me a lot of motivation to keep getting deeper into this really amazing hobby! Take care, Everyone, until next time! Best wishes, Don
