I don't mine Medicom, but their head sculpt IMO is severely lacking compare to Hot Toy and even Sideshow. The most important feature for the figure is Ford's sculpt. If Hot Toys lands the deal, they will easily beat the rest, base on their track record.
It's probably Medicom and not HT as others-- including myself-- had hoped.
Since Sideshow hinted that another brand that they distribute would be making an Indy, and the fact that Medicom already has the Lucas-owned SW license in Japan, Medicom making an Indy figure seems almost a given.
Not exactly true. They made their first figures downscaled and just kept with it...so there could be hope for the newer lines to be the usual 12" figure.
But back to the topic...I'd be rather disappointed if Medicom did end up doing Indy figures. In my opinion Medicom lacks in detail and paint application (just look at the prototype of Old Snake to the actual released version). Either way, if the sculpt is good, as well as the clothes and belts, I'll just use it as fodder for my custom Indy.
