Just happened on this announcement by COTSWOLD COLLECTIBLES, in their newsletter dated SEPT 2nd, of MAGIC CUBE TOYS Army Combat Uniform (MC Camo, Female Cut).

From the COTSWOLD web-site:

" PRE-ORDER: ETA SEPT 2015. Set includes Army Combat Uniform Jacket, Pants, and Belt, in MC Camo pattern, tailored for most female action figure bodies on the market today."

MCTOYS ACU MC CAMO Female Uniform Set

There is no MCTOYS item number yet, and no mention of it yet at MAGIC CUBE TOYS (MCTOYS) website.

I will be looking out for more news on this, and hope that MCTOYS may choose to offer an ACU in UCP Camo pattern for female figures.

(FRI SEPT 4: )
I inquired with COTSWOLD COLLECTIBLES, and they advise this is a NEW release item.

I am sure this uniform will please some people, but I would rather they release a Crye style uniform like the one that came with their "Female Black Shooter" set, except in MC and/or Woodland. Now that would be sweet!
Any female military gear is pretty hard to come by. I'll take what I can get. I'm glad they parted this from that set. Now where can I get the tactical vest?

I'm also glad that they realease this female uniform as a separate set.

I would be even happier if they could release some other female unifoms to fit Very Cool female ACU, black and woodland camo shooter sets. :gimme

Maybe 1:6 companies just don't want to design and produce a proper 1:6 female military figure?

It may have a good head sculpt and body, but the accessories and uniform leave much to be desired.

Perhaps they do this purposely to <CENSORED> over collectors so they continue to buy multiples for various bits and pieces from different sets to build their 1:6 ideal female figure?

Food for thought . . . or not.

Looks like extra stock form their SOCF figure set they released early on.

toyhaven: MC Toys 1/6th scale SOCF - Cultural Support Teams (CST) Female Soldier 12-inch Figure
I hope this is not the case.

If you all remember Edwick's excellent review of the SOCF set, the uniform was quite a disappointment, specifically the pants - see here: http://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/sixth-scale-action-figure-news-reviews-discussion/655612-magic-cube-socf-cst-female-soldier-set-photo-review-long-photo-heavy.html. Edwick said referring to the pants: "superb workmanship, terrible tailoring".

The pants were the biggest problem with the set, and the vest and pouches had some issues as well. For an expensive figure (they are out of stock everywhere, and eBay prices are in the $125-$160 currently), this was a bit of a downer.

I wonder if Magic Cube has fixed the problem and truly made these "tailored for most female action figure bodies on the market today" (quote from Cotswold's preview page).

Should be fine if you can pair it with some higher-cut boots rather than the low-cut ones that came with the original set.

I'll happily volunteer as OSW guinea pig and report my findings.

You might be onto something...

The mediocre body and head was one of the main reasons I avoided the full set. It was a bit overpriced in that regard.

For $22, I'm going to pick up at least one set. Even if it's the exact same set that came with the SOCF figure, it means I'll have a good female-cut Multicam jacket that I can use with the Verycool MC female shooter set to replace the crop top.

Maybe it's a collusion between MCTOYS and VC?

VC: "Collectors complain about top for our new female military figure. What do we do?"

MCTOYS: "We have leftover female ACU uniforms because we didn't sell enough SOCF figures."

VC: "Hey MCTOYS, why not sell your female ACU uniform separately? Collectors who buy our new female figure will buy your ACU uniform set just for jacket?"

MCTOYS: "Good idea! Thank you for suggestion! We help each other out!"

I wish they would re-release their Female Shooter set. Heck, they could even do it in black this time as long as the cut of all the clothing and accessories is the same as the original tan set. I am aware they made a black tactical set soon after that, but I didn't like it as much as the Female Shooter set.

I'm still kicking myself for waffling over that one...and then it was too late.

The color of this uniform didn't really match any other multicam in my collection... The pants fit alright, but the jacket wasn't very nice. I hope the image so far is a placeholder, and they at least update the pattern to what they used with the top that came with their summer shorts sets.

And here's to hoping they release a Crye uniform in the same vein as their black sets. Those were the bomb.

Having bought the SOCF set, I must say I was quite happy with the Multi-cam color of the uniform. It looked thoroughly used and washed, as if it had been weathered right out of the box. Also, the Multi-cam shirt/jacket that came with the set was the better part of the uniform. All in all, I would give the set a 7.5 to 8 out of 10.
Like Don, I would also volunteer to get the uniform and report back my findings...
