On flickr, I saw how they either took a fashion royalty head (
Which is different from just a ken head) and basics model head..
Is there a way to take a ken head and somehow get it to fit a Hot Toys body?

I think it's entirely do-able. I was futzing around with one of my girlfriend's old Ken's with her nephew, who's really starting to like this hobby. As long as the Ken head is the neck-less kind, you should be able to make it work with a Hot Toys type neck adapter.
You may have to do some trimming of the plastic around the neck to make for a better fit but I think you can make it work.
