Since no manufacturer has ventured into making a Canadian Soldier which should have been what HT did instead of the new Brits, I thought I'd give it a go for my collection. This is my JTF-2 Operator providing sniper cover for some PPCLI raiding an Afghan village. The uniform is Powerteam Marpat, it is very pixelated and reminded me of Arrid Cadpat. The helmet is based off of ones worn by PSD Operators/Soldiers for some Canadian dignitaries that have visited troops in Afghanistan I saw on militaryphotos.net. The rifle is suppose to be an AR10 type...I thought I saw a pic of a Canadian sniper on an ATV or setting up an overwatch position in a Afghan village. Hope I did a decent job for the Canadians on the board and any critiques are welcome. Pics should be better too, I got my lights installed for the lightbox. Thanks for looking.

Looks pretty good. Unfortunetly there are not many photos out there of the JTF-2 to use as reference. But I think you did a good job. At last check the Canadian snipers use the Macmillan series of rifles. But JTF-2, who knows.

Very cool. Diggin the PT MARPAT. Like that ISAF badge on the shoulder. Not to sure if the JTF-2 would be wearing insignia. Apparently they have been using the FN-P90 over there, according to the CF magazine. JTF-2 pics are rare, so who's to say they don't look like this.

The sidearm should be a Browning Hi-power, like Dragons' or BBI Barney (Aussie SASR). The AR-10 variant is called the C7CT in the Canadian Forces. Looks very similar to the SR-25. Never seen any Canucks with an ear cut helmet, but who knows.....

As a 1/6 junkie from the great white North. I would agree with hollowpoint, not much photos of JTF-2 coz it is like sort of covert. When the war on terror started the only photo I had seen was the one on the back of a plane holding 2 suspects. I buy journal of elite forces book here in Toronto and they do not have anything about JTF-2. I could have miss it..but not so sure. Anyway great figure...Canadian military adopted the Macmillan rifle. I work in a Hotel I happen to talk to a few of them when a couple of soldier escorted the body of their dead comrades, the uniform is close to marpat but has a disruptive pattern. For a Canadian soldier quite close. JTF-2...NAh coz they are Canada's Delta or A-team. Good kitbash.

Hey...Hqpham..That was on the news.. The guy shaking hands was the newly appointed general. The soldier in the background could be JTF-2. Some Canadian news sources sometimes mention JTF-2 providing security for Canadian VIPs. The rest of the photos those could be part of the regular Patricia light Infantry if I am not mistaken. But anyway...as long as we are happy doing this things. To tell u the truth I do not even thought of a canadian figure the only one I have is the mountie. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Man, how sweet is it to ride around on your ATV with your SR25 and be able to shoot at stuff? A great combination of two fun hobbies right? They say when you find a job you love you never have to work another day in your life.

I stand corrected on the helmet. Interesting. And after a closer look, it is a Maple Leaf. I saw what looked round and immediately thaught of the ISAF badge.

The MacMillan is only one of the rifles Canadian snipers use. The MacMillan C15 .50cal rifle, Parker Hale C3 Rifle 7.62mm, Diemaco C7CT 7.62mm, PGW DTI C14 Timberwolf .338 (8.6mm) Lapua. The Timberwolf is the newest addition.

fioski - I'll PM (Private Message) you about the gear. Try to keep trade stuff in the trade area, the admins get cranky. You can send me a PM by clicking on my name if you want.

BTW hqpham, I am copying those ref photos to my library. Good stuff
