love the idea of a b.j figure though i'll give it a pass for the same reasons i passed on the doom space marine. i doubt there'll be a complete set(arguably you can easily bash some nazi power armored baddies).

whats a doom guy without a few dozen imps, pinkies and a baron of hell here and there. in the end i'd want a complete diorama not a single figure to relive the feeling from the game.

still a series of good games and the franchise truely deserves some love in the 1/6 merchandise department.
cheers

To me the cyberpunk Nazi is always the highlight of the Wolfenstein, I could not care less about the hero, just another bulky dude that shoots up everything. But at $100, I think it's reasonably good value.

Yep, $100 for a figure plus a game that would be 40-60 dollars on its own anyway is a great deal even if you aren't so into the character. The weapons look cool and would be a starting point for a Wolfenstein trooper.
Inflames did make a Killzone trooper (as did Threezero) and 3A/Threezero do in general make some video game characters so its only a matter of time before a Wolfenstein trooper happens (licensed or not).

I plan to sculpt a bunch of Demon skulls to display with my Doom marine when he arrives. Will try to make trophy skulls of every demon type eventually. That I think would be a good space saving display option instead of getting the demons as figures though I would love an Imp or Summoner figure to with it if any ever get made.

I am kinda excited that so many video game characters have been (or are are getting) made in 1:6 : Mass Effect Commander Shepard, Halo Master Chief, Fallout Power Armour, Titanfall Pilot, Doom Marine, Destiny Titan, Dead Space Isaac Clarke, Killzone Helghast, Wolfenstein B.J. Blascowicz etc etc

Now, who will make Duke Nukem and Serious Sam 1:6 figures???

I think the DOOM Marine going to be a terrible figure, just like many other 3A. I mean look at the proportions. Skinny thigh, visible joints, oversize biceps... overall it just doesn't look very natural. I'm holding out on this guy until reviews.

I had similar complaints (including rubber/vinyl parts) and hopefully they fix the groin area to help improve the look as that is the worst part, but I love the game series and doubt we will see another one done in 1:6 any time soon so I bit and ordered it in the hopes that the final product is improved and not another Master Chief (although Master Chief does look great on display, if only the rest of it could be as good as the shelf presence). 3A have made some very bad design choices and released a few failures, but they have also done some great stuff at times. Much like HT.

Hopefully the Wolfenstein Blasco is good, harder to go wrong with a clothed human figure, and with those that don't look great a body swap and some outfit adjustments usually do the trick.

Dead Rising 2 had a cool collectors edition that included a great 1:6 fat zombie figure. I love it when video games include 1:6 stuff! Looking at the Wolfenstein II figure it has a very 'Power Team Elite' look to it, so perhaps it is made by M&C. If so, the body may be of use for background figures after upgrading the Blasco to a muscular true-type sort of body. The boots might be crap though. Fingers crossed the guns are nicely detailed.

Yup, the materials is also one of my concern. I sincerely hope it turns out to be a good figure. I REALLY like the new DOOM Marine look. As for the Blazkowicz figure, it's $40, it's got a cartoon art style, come with many accessories - probably not very detailed but I can deal with that, a must buy for me.

Well, if the Doom Marine does end up with crappy materials at least I hope that it will last a few years, so that by the time it is falling apart maybe a new one with better materials will be made by someone else. I will upgrade to the hypothetical new one then use the old one as custom fodder! But of course I would much prefer a great figure out the box that will last. Fingers crossed.

As for Blasco, it is a must have for me too even if it isn't exactly high end. I will of course display mine with the brown leather jacket (more iconic look). Hopefully the head sculpt will be accurate and some touch ups with paint will make it great. Hopefully. Can't wait to see more pics of it.

The other great thing that comes to mind with the Blasco is that since it is aimed at gamers not collectors, it may be possible to buy it without the game cheap on Ebay after release (easy way to stockpile the weapons if they are good), much like the Dead Rising 2 fat zombie guy (sorry, Gravitationally Challenged Person of Non-Binary life Status who identifies as male) which can often be had for £20-£30.

Re: New Wolfenstein II 1:6 B.J. Blascowicz collectors edition figure

New higher rez image and advert video for the figure, which showcases other character figures such as the iconic armoured trooper, robo dog, Irene Engel and Hanz himself (I hope they also get made!!!).

The weapons on the ground appear to have some paint detailing but the shotgun in B.J's hand does not seem to be painted. Hopefully the production pieces have painted weapons.

Not going to lie... I just want to the figure. I would pay the 100 for that figure. Just because it looks cool.. To bad I missed out the Dead Rising 2 figure. That Fat body would of been perfect for something!

The Dead Rising 2 zombie is easily had on ebay for cheap. I got 2 myself. one to leave as is and another for customising. paid £30 for one of them complete with game etc IIRC, then sold the game itself for £10 or so. The second was figure only (no game) and was £15 IIRC. Bargain!

I'm pretty sold, it'd be awesome if they also released one of the armored German troopers
I have sent a message (and a tweet) to Bethesda asking if there are plans to release the other figures from the ad, hopefully they do.

Re: (Added video advert) Wolfenstein II 1:6 B.J. Blascowicz collectors figure

ok i carved in :) after binch gaming the old blood in one session and starting the new order directly after (yay vpn, suck on this german censorship) i ordered a bit of bad guy stuff from my favorite store.(hadn't played both for a year or more)

now the bad news, i could order the collector's edition from an austrian store but only the censored version so screw that.
on the otherhand the head sculpt (and thats the only part im interested in) doesn't justify 100€.
i'd switch the body for a phicen m34 anyway and give him a topless appearance.

here's to hoping threezero will follow the fallout example and give blazko a shot at let's say a 150$ figure....
cheers tjolnir

Sad to hear its tricky for you to get such stuff where you are.

If you did buy it you could keep the head and sell the rest to get your money back. I would love to buy extra weapons loose.

I am hoping ThreeZero give it a go. A proper Wolfenstein armoured German trooper would be cool (especially the Lunar base troopers)
