I have some figures which through wear and tear have lost paint around their faces.I was thinking of repainting them but have no idea where to start. What kind of paint should I use and where can I buy the paint are my 2 main questions.I really dont need expensive stuff just enough to make them look good.

Thanks in advance
Cheers

The Tips and Tricks > Repainting headsculpts section should give you a good start:

your rigth..thanks Ronin for the reply
it did help some but what I was wanting to know is if they make skin tone colored alcrlyics and what paint to use on figures that wont come off.

thanks for the help so far
There's supposedly a type of paint that the fantasy war-gamers use that comes in a bunch of flesh colors, Elf flesh, Dwarf flesh... For example, Citadel Paints: http://oz.games-workshop.com/games/warhammer/highelves/gettingstarted/start_paint.htm

I've never used them. Has anyone ever used them? Would they be good just to *touch up* the inevitable nicks on the noses without entire repaint? I have several figures in need of touch up but not total repaint (yet).

Anyone?

Yes. I use the acrylic Badger Sunburnt flesh quite a bit and its a good base color if you dont want a pale looking figure. But the durability is about the same as any other acrylic.

Sometimes you're better off mixing the paint to your own satisfaction.

I wish you could get it at Hobby Lobby. I can't remember where I got it but heres some links:

My bottle says: Badger Freak Flex Suntan Flesh #13-109.
It's good stuff and it's already thin enough to use in an airbrush, meaning it can go on like a wash if you want it to. If you use this stuff along with Bobafetts tutorial you should be very happy with your work.
1/6 happy, I found some other stuff that's very close to this right there in your neighborhood at Hobbytown. They have some fantasy acrylic colors that will work too, but I definitely think you guys should get the Badger suntan.
If you guys want to see how the Badger suntan flesh looks on a headsculpt I painted go here: http://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83432&highlight=t-800
