HAPPY NEW YEAR guys!

Although Hot toys quit military figure market years ago, the figures still rock and price is getting higher and higher, but I have to say the visual impact of HT old military series still rules, in spite of outdated head sculpture, inaccurate scale on weapons, less details on accessories, etc.

At the very beginning of 2014, I decide to clear my storage room to set up all unboxed figures (actually there are over 40+ boxes!), this airborne ranger ACU ver is just the 1st one.

Still have mine in the box. Nice figure but a bit disappointed that the boots are molded (I didnt know until I saw your post. Lol) wish HT was able to do then what they can do now with real lace up boots. That would have taken this figure over the edge, then and now. Still a magnificent piece and I also think it holds up well today. Nice pictures.

HT did some seriously good military figures back then. I started my hobby with one of theirs.

Great figure you got there. If I'm going to display an old Hot Toys figure, I just update the body, head sculpt, gloves and boots. I know that sounds odd, but it makes for a new updated bash.

I started collecting based on the original Hot Toys military line.

I think the ACU pattern and color is so unique. Looks great in 1/6 scale too. Nice job!

Yup, looks good. Army issue "birth control" glasses have only been made a couple times. As others have mentioned, about the only thing I might swap out is the molded Danner boots for some newer cloth ones from DAM BHD figures....
