Hello, I recently found a Pocahontas head that is apparently from a Disney store exclusive, and the head is really interesting with actual inset eyes, and? I'd like to find a jointed body for it, but she's around 16/17 inches tall with her original body, so I was wondering if anyone made female bodies that were slightly larger than the standard 1/6th scale. Thanks for the help.

That's going to be a hard road to go down -- notwithstanding a boom in 1/6 female figures there are still a lot of shape/skin/size variations lacking altogether, and very little outside that scale apart from outright dolls. In the doll world there are some options, like Tonner, with some varying posability but there still tends to be a void between 11"-ish and 17"-ish with little or nothing inbetween. One potential but very narrow option for you would be that DC Deluxe made a series of SuperHeroes about 12 years ago that were misrepresented as 1/6 but actually significantly larger. As I recall there were 4 females: ruling out Poison Ivy because of her green skin, that leaves Wonder Woman, Zatanna and Black Canary. Their bodies aren't great but they are decently posable and they stand at 13" or slightly above -- I don't know if that's tall enough for your purposes.

Check Tonner's 16'' Antoinette body, I've got one doll with this body and it's quite nice, well sculpted with some cool posing, although not fully jointed. Not cheap though, you might be paying at least $100.
There's quite a difference between Barbie sized 12'' and 16'' tall dolls, you will definitely need at least a 16'' doll body to match the head, maybe even a slightly bigger one depending on the size of the head.
Hope the head fits the body by the way (and the body ''tone'' matches the head colour!), two dolls of the same size might have different size necks, even Tonner's 16'' girls differ, so best to check if somebody's already tried matching those particular dolls before purchasing an expensive replacement body.
Good luck on that, I sometimes do the head and body swapping on my dolls but with a number of sizes and colours it's sometimes a pain to match them perfectly.

Some Tonner's 16'' girls with Antoinette body here, the one with the ''honey'' skin tone could be a good match if the neck was a good fit for the doll head you've got:

They do, but there isn't much difference between a barbie and a 13" Tonner doll. I'll take a photo later today of all these dolls together.

Here they are, all the nude ladies. Sorry for the blurriness, my phone camera is not the best under a lamp light.
Left to right is: Barbie 12'', Tonner 16'' with Antoinette body, Tonner 13'', and Fashion Royalty 13''.

That's funny that the photo comes under the ''sensitive content, not recommended for those under 18''. It's only a bunch of undressed barbies and their lookalikes.

It's something that is new to the site under the new ownership. Any thing that looks like it's NSFW, or possibly pornography, gets flagged and edited, or removed. So our plastic nudes get removed now.
